Gili Trawangan Homestays

Booked this hotel last minute while visiting Gili T and was not disappointed! The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable, staff are super friendly and accomodating and the pool is a definate highlight! The staff at Coco Cabana were very helpful with planning activities such as snorkelling and scuba diving as well as transportation to and from the island. Highly recommend Coco Cabana!

Loved our stay here. We stayed in both the 2 bedroom villa and a pool side villa. The 2 bed villa is quiet, spacious, modern and clean. It has great facilities including smart TVs, a large fridge & a small private pool. The beds in both villas were super comfy & large. Once we got the room temperature right by adjusting the aircon & fan to our taste (not so cold!) sleeping was divine. The pool was amazing and regularly cleaned. We like to be able to get in the shade besides the pool and managed to for a few days, until others had the same idea - the lovely pool sun shades unfortunately aren't affective as they can't cover the loungers. Luckily most people love to sun bake. It's lovely too to be able to walk across to the beach and swim or snorkel at high tide, or chill out in the beach chairs. We thought the food was delicious and very reasonably priced (comes from next door but no complaints from us). They seemed to be onto maintenance issues, however the bathroom door in the poolside villa was broken & couldn't be shut properly meaning the air con wasn't working efficiently unless we tied it up with a luggage strap. This is a massive improvement from where I was staying elsewhere on Gili T. The Aircon and swimming pool are lovely. The breakfast is a limited choice of pancake or eggs with toast. You get what you pay for but I think in this instance it's mostly high quality. They even had a lonely planet to read.

It was my second stay at Gili Tenda Resort, I was first to visit in 2019 just before the Covid and I was wonderful by this hotel, I was left a very valuable comment. But in 3 years it is necessary to see that things have changed considerably and that the hotel has deteriorated fulgurantly. Installing the room-size carpet tents was a good eco-responsible idea, but it is necessary to note that with time and weather they are getting very badly aged and the interior of the tents has passed from bright beige to green, dirty brown. We discussed with the manager who tried to clean and who said that it was impossible. The jacuzzi of the pool did not work because it broke, the lights in the pool were dirty, green with the vase above, i.e. the maintenance level of this pool that did not make us quite comfortable. The sunshine and bungalow bamboo were living and were not maintained or replaced. The hotel is very comfortable and it is very good to get to the hotel.

Simply great and really recommended! We even extended our stay because we liked it so much. Rather inconspicuous from the outside, the hotel with its small, cozy bungalows is a real paradise. A beautiful, well-kept garden, two spacious pools and unbeatably friendly, courteous and helpful staff at reception. Kind regards to Mei, you are great! You have your own little house with an incredibly comfortable bed and a well-screened bathroom behind it, almost in the open air. We really had everything we needed and felt very comfortable. There is a lot to do and experience on Gili T. and you can relax and unwind perfectly in the hotel. As on the whole island, you can hear the mosque, but that didn't bother us that much and we still slept very well. You can rent bicycles from the hotel. The breakfast in the hotel is good but nothing special. There are countless great restaurants to discover on Gili T, so we often went out for breakfast. And the koi’s are cute!

On the occasion of my stay on the Gili Islands, I stayed in this hotel, first in a twin room, then in the deluxe room. Both rooms had a very spacious bathroom with hygienic products available, but also a television and a fridge. The beds were comfortable. My stay there was very pleasant. My stay there was pleasant. The staff made themselves available. Concerning the enclosure of the hotel, I did not use it but there is a large swimming pool, bicycles for rent, and a water fountain. The location is perfect with bars / restaurants in the street, and especially the sea a few meters away. The hotel is located right next to the mosque on the island, so be aware that you will probably hear the prayer at 5am (but that didn't bother me).

Stayed there for 4 nights to enjoy the peaceful side of Gili T. If you want to go to the more crowded area on the east you have to walk around 20min…way is a bit scary at night as there are no lights everywhere and almost no people. But you can also use bike or the horse carriage. Latter we would not recommend. Rooms are spacious and in a good condition. The outside bathroom (we had to get used to it first) was very lovely as well. Also can recommend the restaurant where we had most of our dinners every night. Did snorkeling directly in front of the hotel which is really amazing…however, due to the stones and dead corals wear some kind of swim shoes (you can also buy them everywhere). Breakfast was good and decent. Food in general can be served on the beach as well. Staff was super friendly!

Great staff, the resort manager looked after us very well and nothing was a problem,great location, cheapest Bintang on the Island 4-8 Happy Hours. Food offers every day as well as theme nights. We had a couple of nights in the standard room which whilst basic were clean and tidy. We then moved to the deluxe room which was fantastic and well worth the small extra cost. Would definitely stay here again.

We’ve just stayed at Martas Hotel for 4 nights. What a wonderful place! The location is perfect, just off the Main Street and a short walk from beach and the ferries. The Villa was lovely, spacious, clean, looked beautiful but most importantly the beds were so comfy! The shower was fab too. Breakfast was delicious and served with a smile. It was lovely to chat to the staff and Marta and Joanna who were often around, hearing about life on the islands. There is a water refilling station at reception to save on the plastic waste and glass refillable bottles in the rooms. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms and a fridge with a mini bar. Outside the villa they have an outdoor seating area with clothes line and some hangers, so many small useful details. But the best feature of the hotel is the staff. All of the staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. They are all a credit to the hotel :)
