Sherbrooke Castle Hotel

Average at best, the king sized room we stayed in was not 4-star quality by any means. Uncomfortable bed, outdated room, and weird random iron burn on the carpet that hadn’t been fixed. The proximity to the airport and the waitstaff at breakfast were very nice, but I wouldn’t stay again.

We had an excellent stay at the Sherbrooke Castle hotel, the room was beautiful and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel and I will definitely be back again. It’s so close to the city centre so it’s also an excellent location with free parking which is always a bonus.

All the staff were excellent and very welcoming. We were going for a wedding and they did their best to make it a vey special day. Family room was very spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The wedding was beautiful and the food was top class.

Stayed at The Sherbrooke Castle Hotel for 2 nights for a family wedding. The junior suite was well equipped and spacious . The wedding was fabulous, the food was terrific and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. If you’re looking for a wedding venue I would certainly recommend it.

My sister got married here last week and we stayed for two nights. Our room and the rooms our family members stayed in were all fantastic, well equipped, comfortable and spacious with traditional features that felt very classic. Decor is traditional in style and if you are looking for Scottish castle style accommodation close to the city centre you can't go wrong. Restaurant and breakfast service were great, staff were attentive and we loved the food. The bar areas were also great. I would also highly recommend as a wedding venue! Overall I can't highlight enough how well looked after we were both as hotel guests and as part of my sister's wedding party. Highly recommend.

We had our wedding at the sherbrooke, with the bridal party staying at the hotel. It was perfect. The orangery is a beautiful bright wedding venue. The reception was held in the hotel. The food was delicious. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly with Claire helping us organise the wedding and William being there on the day making everything run smoothly. The Sherbrooke Castle Hotel is a popular wedding venue. A beautiful historic building with staff who are extremely efficient and made our wedding day perfect. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Even the day after, we were still so well looked after. I can't recommend The Sherbrooke enough or thank them enough for making our wedding day a dream come true.

As you can see from all my previous reviews I will always give a honest and true reflection of my experience. I was invited to a wedding recently at The Sherbrooke Castle Hotel and decided to enjoy a stay over to coincide with my visit. The hotel is situated south of Glasgow in a residential area called Pollokshields and initially I thought the hotel was just a big house in the area ! Finally arriving at the Sherbrooke I parked at the rear of the building which I noticed had security cameras so felt safe leaving my car there. At check in I was greeted by two female members of staff who both acted professional and couldn’t of been more helpful. The hotel is clearly taking COVID protocol seriously as EVERY corner is hand sanitiser and also free masks given out at check in. I was given room 31 and was asked if I needed a hand with my luggage. It was only one flight of stairs but kind of the hotel to offer. My room was very cosy, spotlessly clean and had modern cons with a traditional setting ! What is so eye catching about the Sherbrooke castle hotel is the authentic traditional interior mixed with modern concepts. Tartan carpets, wooden staircases but flat screen TVs don’t look out of place ! I attended the wedding and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service however the next day I truly got to sample the Sherbrooke hotel cuisine! The cooked breakfast was fantastic and a good range of cold and hot Breakfasts. I also opted for haggis parcels for lunch and although initially I thought the portion was small it was rather filling and extremely tasty. I also had coffee with homemade cakes (walnut cake and scones). The Sherbrooke castle hotel is a classic timeless hotel with fantastic service ! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! Traditional setting with traditional homemade wholesome food! Beautiful clean hotel with even better service. HIGHLY recommend

Lovely stay. Staff were helpful, polite and friendly. Lovely room and great Breakfast menu with attentive staff. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back. Good location. February 2024. Easy 5 minute drive to city centre.
