The location is great. Just a min or less walk from Glasgow Queens Street Station and the bunchhan Street Subway. Also quite near to the bus stop where we took the airport Express to the airport.
A basic and clean room with a complimentary mini bar. And is near to the shopping area.

We just returned from 8 nights at the Carlton George. It was our second visit and was just as nice as the first. It was a perfect base from which to explore Glasgow and surrounding areas. The club lounge is a comfortable relaxing place, where we had an amazing afternoon cream tea after a few hours of sightseeing, and where we enjoyed a pre dinner drink after 5 o’clock, both included in the price of a club room. Breakfast was perfectly adequate,but fell short a couple of times, items not replaced in a timely manner, service inconsistent. Dinner, however, was great, both food and service. All the staff we came in contact with were pleasant and helpful.

The bus from the airport stops right outside the hotel, this was a bonus. The location is ideal for walking around Glasgow and checking out the sites and attractions. Many shops and restaurants are nearby. The rooms had an old style decor, while maybe a little old, very unique. The free mini-bar included decanted spirits, we requested extra Sprite to be used as mixers, and these were delivered very quickly. Buffet breakfast was good and includes eggs cooked your way, served on the top floor with nice views of the nearby cathedrals and landmarks. All staff from reception/check-in to the breakfast staff, were friendly and helpful.

Room was comfortable and clean, staff was friendly, and once we made it to the hotel, the location for walking to food and drink was great. Parking is horrid and virtually impossible to find (more than one with similar names to the car park with the hotel agreement. ) Area around the hotel is closed to all other than taxis, so no way to drop bags and then go park. If this was a business trip, it would have been great. I don't recommend it for a couple's vacation.
