Another lovely overnight stay. Warm, friendly welcome from Kim who, after checking us in, was kind enough to put on the Cheltenham Festival on in the bar for us to watch and ensured we had everything we needed all afternoon. Staff were all great, very attentive. Food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious, perfectly cooked. Room was comfortable and quiet. Look forward to staying again!

My partner and I stayed there for our anniversary on 22/2/24. Kaitland and Vincent made our stay very special. They were so friendly and welcoming. Kaitland gave us a beautiful room upstairs and Vincent served us our meal at night. We will definitely be back!

We booked a two-night stay in a suite, which after a friendly welcome at reception we found to be warm and made up for a family with the pull-out couch as a bed, which we thought was a really nice touch. It was the best “typical” stay we’ve ever had in Scotland, in that while yes the rooms need to be updated - the bed was comfy and warm, and everything was SUPER clean. We could hear noise in the morning and into the late hours but it didn’t bother us, it was rather expected as the pub was lively and again, this is part of a “typical” thing at a Scottish country inn, part of the charm. The staff were attentive, friendly, well-trained and helpful in every aspect of our stay. The food was very high quality; we enjoyed our breakfasts which were made to order and everything from the soup to the steaks were delicious at dinner. It was such a welcome break, kids were welcome and we felt very safe and happy. Loved the views - an idyllic and tranquil setting with the hills and the route was busy with cyclists, walkers and cars. We would stay again, and we would recommend it as the best traditional Scottish B&B experience we’ve ever had.

Stay was okay, except for the very loud event happening in the bar downstairs. No one told us this event was happening and it was very loud in our room until 12am. We were hoping for a relaxing early night in and this was not what we got.

Checked in yesterday around 3:30pm to a friendly staff member called Kim lovley smile and happy to help us, we got given room number 17 which was up the stairs. Got to our room and it's a beautiful room like a home from home. Wee living room seating area with 2 chairs and a TV with tea/coffee facilities. Big bathroom very clean and towels and amenities for us. Shower was great to use.. the bedroom was a great size. 2 big wardrobes with mirrors and inside was coat hangers, iron board. Iron and hair dryer. The bed was clean and comfortable with plug sockets on each side. We had dinner last night aswell and the staff were lovley. Big shout out to Ross and Adam last night another two lovley members of staff who was friendly helpful. Dinner was lovley and worth every penny. We had a great sleep and no problem with our room and breakfast was delicious and filling. Overall fantastic stay and will definitely be back again. Nothing bad to say

The restaurant and bar decor is designed to a very high standard. Bar prices are very reasonable with a pint of lager costing £4.30. Large tv's with the football on was an added bonus. We had breakfast, which was well worth the wait as the food was lovely and fresh. We stayed in room 17 which was a superior double room. It was very large and although it was next to the road there wasn't much traffic noise at nighttime. The toilet was very modern. The rest of the room could do with some upgrading. The hotel would definitely get 5 stars if the rooms were as nice as the bar/resturant area. We would definitely stay again.

We had an overnight stay at the weekend and we were impresesed upon entering he hotel. It has been a while since I was last here and I was delighted to see it had been refurbished to a very nice standard. On arrival, we were told that there were two large parties arriving. It became crowded and a bit loud but we were seated in the lounge before they arrived and, to be honest, it jst added a bit of atmosphere. We had some snacks in the bar/lounge with some very nice wine to accompany it. Delicious. Afterwards, we spent some time in ourroom and decided to order food and bring it up on a tray. The room was very nicely decorated and spacious. The furnishing s were immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. The next morning, breakfast was presented very nicely. The ingredients were of a very good quality and it was thoroughly enjoyable. A small point - we were not checked on during breakfast and there was no one available when we checked out of the hotel.
