This room is really big, both the toilet space and the view outside are very good! Definitely recommended

An amazingly historic room but the karaoke totally spoiled the experience as it was incredibly loud. After midnight, the noise continued as the karaoke attendees spilled into the courtyard and continued loud singing. We tried to contact reception, but no response. We skipped breakfast as we were so tired… NOT recommended on a karaoke night, and only for ghost hunters on other nights.

Had some lovely old features. Building could do with a total upgrade.
The windows in our room didn't fully close which made the room cold. The heating wasnt on.
Due to the windows not closing properly we got woken up at 6.30 am by road sweepers.
Breakfast was cold on both mornings we stayed. Was a buffet style breakfast which i thought was nice considering it was cold.

Absolutely loved the genuine old world charm of this place, stepping into the courtyard from the street is like stepping back in time. This is not your fake Tudor exposed beams type property, these beams have been here since the middle ages & there's not a modern straight line in the whole building. the rooms are large spotlessly clean & beds are comfortable. The location in the centre of Gloucester is perfect, the cathedral is just 3 min. away, the Quays are 5 min. walk (highly recommend the quays). If your looking to visit Gloucester staying at the New Inn should be at the top of your list.

It is a very old hotel so don't expect modern and shiny. Every room is different with changes of level in corridors-odd steps here and there. Worn and uneven flagstones in courtyard. BUT it is ideally located for shops, entertainment and sightseeing. Everywhere is walkable and there are large traffic free areas.
