The staff were very helpful. The meals were very beautifully presented. The staff were very considerate of my son who has special needs.

The hotel was absolutely amazing, loved the pool section as well, me and my partner had an amazing time, employees are really nice, hotel was clean and tidy, facilities were clean :) Highly recommend!

Enjoyed the stay yet again as it’s our third time. We mainly book as we get to stay and use the spar facilities which we love. Little disappointed you have to pay into for parking.

I booked the simply spa package to go away with my mum to celebrate her birthday, which included dinner, 30 minute spa treatment each, access to the gym, pool, sauna and spa pool, one night stay and breakfast. I also added bottle of champagne, bottle of wine and early check in as extras. The staff were very friendly and helped where they could, the beds were also very comfortable and we did sleep very well, enjoyed the treatments and the pool/spa pool and sauna. Sharon from the bar/at breakfast in particular was very lovely, chatty and helpful. However, there were numerous problems during our stay. Firstly, when I contacted them in advance to ask what the earliest time was with early check I was told 1pm, so I arrived just after 1pm under the impression I would be able to check in at this time due to not being asked what time I wanted to check in from. The woman on reception informed me check in was from 3pm and I ended up explaining to her that I had added early check in, only to be told early check in was from 2pm and the room wouldn’t be available until then. We didn’t receive the bottle of wine and champagne on arrival as promised and had to ask numerous times even had to show my booking confirmation email as proof I had purchased them as they said they weren’t showing on their system. Then we went to have the 30 minute treatments and use the pool/spa pool which was included as part of the package and was told there was £90 outstanding even though it had already been paid for and thankfully the man on the reception area of the spa was friendly and helped us to sort it with main reception desk who confirmed that everything had been paid. We went for dinner and were originally served duck starter when the garlic mushroom was ordered, which a member of staff did resolve. During dinner we received the bottle of champagne that I paid for when checking in to the hotel but not the bottle of wine. Noticed a vending machine in main reception, so went there after dinner to try and get bottled water only to realise it was coins only, which didn’t make sense when the hotel claimed to be cashless and card-only. This meant we had to ask for bottled water and ended up with glass bottles instead of the £1 plastic ones available in the vending machine which ended up being extortionate - £9 for two bottles of water! The room was ok, it was reasonably clean (not completely dirty/filthy), but the creaking floorboards made it impossible to walk around without making a noise, all the wooden furniture was scratched and badly dented and there were marks on the floor. I had booked one of the twin rooms, my mum’s bed cover had numerous red marks which looked like blood and the sheet for the mattress was too small so didn’t completely cover the mattress whilst the bedding on the bed I slept in was ripped. There was very low water pressure in the shower and it was like trying to wash with a hosepipe. Clearly some maintenance is required. On check out, I

I've been here for two years and my favourite bar staff is kacey . All staff are very hard working in all departments . I also see another of hard work coming from Jamie. Also a big shout out to housekeeping for always putting biscuitsin my room . Kacey and Jamie are my favourites .

Done a deal with secret escape, on arrival the hotel staff was nice and friendly. We paid to upgrade to Executive Double room but think we was given the Suite room. So could not fault the room, nice and clean. The spa area is ok but slighty dated. We had dinner in the restaurant and the was was good but the drink are pricey. Overall was a nice experience

I arrived at the hotel at 5:00 PM on a Sunday and was warmly greeted by a friendly staff member at reception. However, upon reaching my room, I noticed a tray with plates and glasses left in the hallway. Despite my room being clean and well-prepared, it was surprising that these used items hadn't been collected. I had a dinner reservation at the restaurant for 6:00 PM. When I arrived, the restaurant was empty and there were no staff members present. I had to locate the staff at the bar, who then seated me and were helpful. I ordered Fish & Chips, but there was minimal interaction with the waitress throughout my meal. After finishing my food, I returned to my room, only to receive a call from the waitress asking me to come back. When I arrived at the restaurant desk, no one was there, except for my receipt placed on the "wait here to be seated" stand, which required my signature. I signed it promptly and left, once again without any interaction from the staff.

Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make this stay special for us on my wife’s big birthday. Shannon on reception did an excellent job on our room with some really personal touches, Sharon was an excellent host during both breakfasts and our afternoon tea and Nikki from housekeeping was extremely friendly and helpful. Valerika was also extremely attentive and professional during our evening meal.Thanks for an excellent staycation.

I stayed here a s part of a coach party recently. The rooms were ok and facilities. But the food and restaurant a different manner. The first night chicken was one of the options, but most couldn't eat it, it was very dry. (l had fish). second night they had pork on the menu, it looked ok when it came out, but again dry and tough most people left it. The apple sauce that went with it, was just a piece of apple. Next night improved the forth night ok, but the ceaser salad very basic, not like ones l've ever seen before. There was chicken on the menu four nights out of the 4 we stayed. The service to our party was very slow, plus it had another coach party in, l don't think they fared much better. We were usually in the restaurant for 2 hours. Yet private people coming in appeared to be served fairly quickly. I don't think the hotel can cope with coach parties. The last morning quite a lot of the food was missing when we came down and only one staff bringing things out. The best part of the BF was the toaster. Usually in hotels toast has to go through a few times to brown, this was only once. Would l stay again, no.
