We booked the Sunday sorted deal here and travelled with another couple It was great value for money , the 3 course Sunday lunch was amazing we all had different dishes and all were cooked perfectly. The staff at the Thatch are wonderful, very helpful and friendly Vicky was fantastic and all the other staff and carol on breakfast this morning really made us feel welcome and looked after us. The quality of breakfast and the choice extremely good and again perfectly cooked and great produce . Rooms have everything you need , toiletries, hairdryer etc and were clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we hope to visit again in the future .. Thank you guys for a great stay 😊

Lovely lunch from an extensive menu. Great atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff. A lovely place to have lunch and it doesn’t matter if it’s a quick snack or a three course long slow meal with friends. Book a table, you really won’t be disappointed.

The corridors of the accommodation wing smelt of a septic tank/overflowing drains. Rooms were ok though dividing walls were paper thin.
Service was pretty poor - they were overrun and inflexible: wouldn’t allow us to order dinner over the phone (as we were held up in traffic) before the kitchen closed. On checking out of our 3 pre-paid rooms in the morning there was confusion their end - as somehow they’d reserved 4 rooms for us and now wanted us to pay for the 4th room, despite never being offered the key to it on check in….because we’d never booked it. Not a pleasant argument to have when hurriedly leaving after breakfast!

We went for a mother's day meal with our mums and family last night and it was fantastic! The service for the whole evening was second to none! The whole team made the service feel so personable and not just table to table, they offered to take photos of us as a family and made little adjustments to my sons pudding that they really didn't have to do, but it's the small things like this that make the biggest impact and difference! The food was fantastic! A real homecooked feel and everything was so fresh! There was no long waits and we weren't pushed at all, everything was perfectly timed! You can see they are clearly a great team and well done from very happy customers!

Inn and bar were very cool and historic. Someone surprised us one morning by unlocking our door.. they must have not realized the room was booked but other than that it was great.

Although we booked a table, when we arrived they could not find the booking. They did however set up a table in the breakfast room. I ordered the fish without batter with chips and peas. I think I can say in all honesty I have never been served such an unappetising meal. The fish was so small, hard and crispy it looked as though it had been left for ages under a grill. I returned the meal, hardly any apology, got offered instead a fish soup! Which I declined. I am just appalled that they could serve such a poor plate of food and their response to the complaint.

The best Sunday roast ,cooked to perfection ,nice helpful staff all very good ,we had starter that was very nice great selection would definitely be going back loved it the only thing was the service charge I don’t like being told what to pay but you can get it taken off and we paid our own.
