Central Hotel Gloucester by Roomsbooked

Perfect. Lot better than premier inn in terms of facilities like microwave and desk space however the beds were a little short. I'm 6ft 3 and my legs were hanging off the bed.

This is a functional little hotel that is close to the train station. Don't expect luxury, but you can expect friendly and warm service, and a spacious room. The reason I booked this hotel was due to the rail strikes. I was on a business trip and meant to be taking the train to London that evening but wasn't able to. Furthermore, it was the Cheltenham races and all the other places had already been booked out. This room was a lifesaver for me. I was exhausted from an intense itinerary and needed a place to sleep and freshen up. I was pointed to the supermarket close by. As there were all the cutlery and even a microwave in the room, I had no issues rustling up a hot meal for myself. I am giving this hotel a high rating because the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I just want to make it very clear that guests need to understand this is not a fancy establishment designed for holidaying, but if you are travelling for work purposes, this will come close to being home away from home.

As the hotel is right in the centre of town, very convenient for shopping, sight seeing and walking distances to restaurants and coffee shops. Although there is no carpark, there is the city carpark close by and reasonably price. It is also close to the train station.

It was a fab place. Will definitely be our place to stay from now on in gloucester. 5 stars on all departments. I dropped oncevto 4 star only because the bed was to soft for me. That us a matter of taste though and would not keep me away for future visits.

Dirty pillows were only the start, shower didn’t work properly . Complained and was told because we had used room we would be charged. Horrendous customer service. You get told to email your complaints and then get a unsympathetic response. They claim they will look into fixing the issues .

Stayed here for two nights on a work trip. It was fine. Stayed in much better places and much worse. No real criticism out side of it being a hit old looking, but for the price what did I expect? Staff were friendly and it was only £10 for late check out

I loved the convenience of being between the train station and the commercial areas. Good, clean accommodations.
