Hotels near Cavusin church in Goreme

We stayed in 2 separate rooms because we were a family of 4 people. One standard and a Turkish wooden room were given. Standard room with terrace-balcony, Turkish wooden room with wooden bathroom and width are preferable. The hotel was renovated 6 months ago, everything was clean and new, we did not face any problem. Although it was April, we went in a cold era, the warmth of the rooms was good ***meat. Everywhere is available in 3-5 minutes. The breakfast is enough, it is tasted every day with a newly-outed hamster job. The tea and coffee are available with heating in the room. Thanks to the Betel lady and all the team, they are also very helpful about the places to visit.

We came to adanos after seeing the pictures and good reviews and boy oh we were not disappointed I booked the deluxe and WOW The APARTMENT is huge with a balcony overlooking Avanos etc It is what I would call local , with houses all around and kids playing in the street when the sun goes down but thts what I call local charm Nazlim (Naz) what a fantastic host and lovely lady , me and my wife are not breakfast people but we did the balloons with a breakfast and came back to a HUGE breakfast from Naz , and bless her even cooked an omelette that we had to say sorry but we've already eaten, felt so guilty . Naz was brilliant telling us where to go and what to see and showing us on the map and even a taxi number who turned out to be our chauffeur on our last day and was brilliant because it was too hot to walk any where lol Everyone goes on about staying in the caves .....my advice Go here it's so nice , so peaceful and if your lucky like me on the balcony treated to a Turkish night of music coming from avanos it was amazing oh and don't forget the sunset views from our balcony Thank you Naz for making belated 25th wedding anniversary (because of COVID) Amazing We'll never forget ADANOS ♥️ Lots of love Simon and Kay x

The hotel is not in the town of Goreme. It takes an 8-minute taxi ride to the center of the town and is relatively close to the hot air balloon activity area. The room was large, comfortable and chic, and the whole family had a great time staying there for three nights. The breakfast is very rich. Since the hotel is on a high slope, the boss will drive to the roadside. The girls in the hotel are very cute and highly recommended.

We booked a Family Room with bath. We were given a cave room 103 which probably had to be the worst room in the hotel. Located in a dark basement corner, with no windows or access to sunlight, the room was filthy. Grit and grime all over the floor and on every single surface. Edges and corners of the room looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. We complained and the housekeeping lady came back, and did a half baked attempt at cleaning the room, to which we were told the cave roof continously sheds dust and cement so it’ll get dirty in 10 mins !!! The A/C was a joke. The water from the AC leaked into a pot which we were asked to empty every 3 hours or it would leak into the bedroom floor! I mean what?!! We obviously forgot 1 night and woke up to a giant puddle of water when we woke up. The bathroom was a whole other story (no cave roof there, proper wood ceiling, so why would there be grit and grime on the floor?!) The bathroom stank of mold the entire time, with no exhaust fan or ventilation, and condensed water from the shower dripping down from the roof. The hair dryer was shoved precariously into a rod and was soaking wet from the condensation posing a serious electrocution hazard if turned on. The sink and bathroom drains were not working, with the shower cubicle always leaking into the rest of the bathroom which no amount of towels could soak up. The shower holder lock was broken when we checked in , which they fixed after we informed them. There was no shelf or surface of any kind in the bathroom. There were brackets screwed into the wall but no shelf on it! Not even a glass to put your toothbrushes which is such a basic thing one would expect in even a standard hotel room, let alone a luxury one like this. Our last day there was no hot water when we got back after a tiring full day tour. Apart from the measly, tiny, always fogged up mirror in the bathroom, there was not a single mirror or dressing table in the bedroom! This in a FAMILY room where a family of 4 is expected to stay. Wi-fi didn’t work in the room 90% of the time. They charged us an arm and a leg for laundry which we were given back with all clothes still damp, and we had to air dry in the room again. I gave them a beach bag with our clothes , which they overloaded, broke and “stapled it up” assuming I wouldn’t notice with NO apology whatsoever and a ‘we can’t do anything about it now’ attitude. Our very expensive ‘private airport transfer’ was fine when getting in, but we were given a much smaller vehicle when leaving which then had to be changed , thus delaying our return transfer to the airport. The only positives were the rooftop and the breakfast. The tours and hot air balloon ride were organized efficiently. Overall, I found the attitude of all the staff pretty cold. Under the guise of a ‘cave room’ we were being asked to overlook a whole lot of crap in the rooms - leaking Airconditioners, zero sunlight, leaking bathroom, disgustingly filthy rooms.

Everything about staying here was fabulous - I would 100% recommend. The staff were fabulous & friendly. Aziz particularly needs a mention. He recommended 3 absolutely fabulous restaurants in Goreme itself - Zest, Dibek & Seten. & also another in Uchisar - Millocql. He also booked all of our excursions while we were there - green tour, quad bike tour, horseback riding tour (& on email before the trip I’d sorted the balloon ride). All trips come & get you from the hotel. The suppliers they chose don’t seem to be the most mainstream tours so they were never over crowded which was a bonus. The hotel itself was clean & great. Breakfast was lovely & we loved sitting on the balcony to eat. The balcony also has a nice view to watch the balloons but you need to be up there from about 5:30am or so. We got upgraded from a standard double room to a much bigger room which was very kind! The heating was on now & then to keep the cave nice & comfortably warm! Fab powerful shower too. It was really central to Göreme’s restaurants etc. If I went back I’d not hesitate to book this hotel again.

The rooms were well equipped and the bed comfortable. Tea and coffee is also provided in the rooms and a nice bowl of fruit on arrival. The buffet was well stocked with a good variety of food. The reason for giving three stars were: 1. The bathroom shower is not well designed and the floor floods. Some minor maintenance of the shower fitting would probably resolve the problem. 2. On the first night our sleep was interrupted at 03.30hrs by an alarm call which was not booked nor expected! The reception was advised accordingly the following morning but clearly to no avail as at 03.30 the following night the same unexpected call was received again. Such an an recurrence is clearly unacceptable and I trust this review will encourage the hotel to review its processes in this area.

I left from Italy to Turkey with a baggage of so much advise from friends and relatives, information taken from the internet, my even two in number travel books, so many high expectations and my head full of dreams of that magic country, but I didn’t expect that everything would turn into something real. When I entered InStone house I immediately liked the location so well-finished and my room extremely clean, warm and comfortable. But it wasn’t just that. The care the staff shows towards guests, the great advise from the hotel’s manager who continuously pays attention to every single detail in terms of hospitality, their congeniality, the great breakfast served with a big and beautiful smile, some Turkish lessons to survive in a foreign country given without any prejudice, the open-mindedness of them all, the tea available 24/24 to sip on their magic balcony maybe while watching balloons fly over your head at sunrise or while enjoying sunset. This is the magic of Cappadocia, this is the magic of people from Cappadocia. Believe me, I usually travel the world and I have started growing fond of travelling right because of places like this which make you go beyond the geographical boundaries and make you feel at home wherever in the world.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank both Eyup & Burak for their hospitality during my stay at Cappadocia Fairly Tale Suite. Especially from Eyup. He is Welcoming me like his own bro. Both of them are always offer to help with Smiles. I feel like home during my stay. The room is very clean & so comfortable till I won’t feel to step out from it:). The Turkish breakfast is awesome. The surrounding of the hotel is peaceful & very close to the Hot Air Balloons location. It is only about 10+ minutes walk. Opposite the hotel has a very nice restaurant as well including cafes. Highly recommended! Again, thanks to both Eyup & Burak. You guys are the main reason I will come back again if I pay a visit to Cappadocia in the near future. Thanks & Cheers:)

Olenda cappadocia hotel For friends who come to Turkey for the first time, this hotel is really good, and every staff member of the hotel has a good service attitude. The room is very special and comfortable. The mattress is so soft. Every corner of the room is not difficult to find the characteristics of the cave hotel. In addition to the shower, the bathroom has a large bathtub that can accommodate a whole person. It is recommended that you can prepare Bath Fizzer in advance. Although most of the real cave hotels in Turkey are not equipped with air-conditioning, this hotel is also, but after check-in, the windows are opened at night and equipped with evening wind, but there is a natural feeling. There will be a cool feeling as soon as you enter the room. If you want to take a photo of the rooftop, Olenda's rooftop outdoor scenery is also one of the reasons for the strong push. Because the rooftop space is full. Plus the mantle in the corner of the rooftop, it is definitely a net red snoring point. The atmosphere plus the configuration is first-class. You can definitely take advantage of the sunrise time to take a beautiful hot air balloon photo on the rooftop of Olenda's hotel. Regardless of the night view, Olenda gave me the enthusiasm of the locals in Turkey.
