Acorn Lodge Guest House

I stayed here for 4 nights with my two young children. We received a really warm welcome and speedy check in process. The room was a spacious family room with a comfortable double and single bed, dining table and chair, kettle with tea and coffee. The bathroom was a good size with powerful shower, all areas were very clean. The location was ideal, a 5 minute walk to Morrison (for breakfast) and a 10 minute walk to the gosport ferry terminal. The team here are friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. A couple of nights there were some noisy guests but they did respectfully turn their music off when asked to turn it down. We had a nice stay here, we knew that there would be no dining facilities so we just kept a little stock of snacks.

We Stayed A couple of nights in a ground floor family room which was comfortable and clean with a good unsuite shower.There was a fridge, microwave,Tv and Free Wi-Fi . Adequate wardrobe and drawer space a kingside double bed with two other singles, two armchairs, table and 4 chairs and plenty of space in the room. Good value for price charged. £130.

This place is somewhere to stay well clear of -- Score should be a minus 10 ! Firstly he wanted to have my Passport -- No bloody way ! Secondly he wanted my drivers license -- No bloody way ! Thirdly demanded 20 Pound deposit on the key which he would return in three days because he doesn't trust people -- I said he WILL return the twenty pound when I return the key -- because I DON'T trust you !! (it was given in Cash and very reluctantly returned when I left) The state of maintenance in the room was so low - see pictures but I was stuck because I had paid room on line ! DO NOT STAY HERE EVEN IF IT IS A COMPLETE EMERGENCY.STAY YOUR CAR OR STAYB SOMEWHERE ELSE. IT SEEMS UNSAFE AND FULL OF ILLEGAL THINGS The person running this place said they were from Ukraine - if this is the normal Ukraine people send them back to war

If you can't find anywhere to stay then go home don't stay here. The room was 8 foot square. The shower was a shared up on a different level. The toilet again shared with hotel. Was down a corridor down stairs. It looked like a knocking shop where sailors would bring back a lady for the night. Or a hmo. Definately not a hotel. Nor a bed and breakfast. I. Surprised the premises met basic legal requirements. Avoid avoid avoid

Only giving one star but would give less because it was dingy, dark smelled of vape and smoke and the showers stank and the everything was terrible. DO NOT STAY HERE EVEN IF IT IS A COMPLETE EMERGENCY.STAY YOUR CAR OR STAYB SOMEWHERE ELSE. IT SEEMS UNSAFE AND FULL OF ILLEGAL THINGS ANYWAY. Lots of other review sites have positive reviews but I believe them to be fake. It is horrific. SO SO BAD. We only came because our ferry company booked us in having messed up the boat they put us on and it would have been better if they had done quite literally anything else. DARK DINGY AND HORRIFIC me and my family recommend wholeheartedly that you don’t come here so it goes bankrupt so that no one has to suffer what we did.
