Hotels near Gothenburg Botanical Garden in Gothenburg

This was good hotel, located in the center of Gothenborg where you have good access to almost everything. It was a beautiful hotel with a good interior design. It was clean enough. As a not good point, we can say they don't put slipperies in the rooms that is a little annoying. Breakfast was perfect with a very good anf acceptable range of foods and drinks. Parking cost is too much here. It's almost 400 SEK per each day, buy you still have this alternative that park your car in some public parkings, with 10 minutes walking to the hotel and much lower cost.

Take bus 60 at the railway station and walk for two minutes near the hotel. In the villa area, it is quite convenient. It is inconvenient to eat around, but we ordered breakfast. The hotel room is spacious and bright, and an extra bed can be accommodated. The shower room is as large as one meter by 1.5 meters, and the water volume is huge and the water pressure is high, giving enough hangers. Nordic hotels seem to have no electric kettles, which can be cleaned every day. The reception at the front desk was very warm and friendly. The accommodation was divided into two orders, but the service staff happily merged the two orders without moving around. Nice hotel with rich breakfast.

It was a quite wonderful experience to stay at First G hotel in terms of the following, I can actually say I have never gotten this kind of experience outside of Japan in my life. Their services with smiling faces, breakfast especially scrambled egg and a lot of line up of breads, convenient location to take almost all trams which will take you anywhere in Goteborg, finally entire performance per cost. We really wanted to like this place. The location seemed nice online - but in person you are surrounded by construction - this is 2021 but from what I can find the construction is going to be here for a while. It’s almost like the whole city is under construction. It makes navigating around the hotel, on foot, via bike/scooter, or in a car - very challenging. There is a ton of public transport here though. Which brings me to the next bad point. Noise. If you’re on the 6th floor with the balconies - don’t expect to leave your doors open unless you like noise. The busses and trains and other traffic are fairly quiet as far as transit goes - but they do make noise, as well as the traffic signals. And they run all the time. In addition - anything on the 6th floor and you get thumping bass music *all night* from the nightclub above you (especially on weekends). Damn near impossible to sleep. Another thing which bugged us (may not bug you) is a lot of people smoking on their patios around us made ours smell bad fairly often. The bathroom is a very neat concept - but executed poorly. The shower would flood water into the main part of the bathroom - like there is not enough slope or drain in the shower and no lip to keep water in there - so it just runs out under the door into the main bathroom area. The restaurants and bars in the hotel are nice. Breakfast was decent - nothing to be amazed by - but it will get you going for the day (although it was really crowded and often very hard to find a socially distanced seat - but this may not apply too long into the future I hope - this review is 2021). The bed is comfortable and the room nice enough. The patio chairs were not the most comfortable, and there was broken glass all around our patio so we had to wear shoes when walking out there. The view was very nice - albeit full of construction (not the fault of the hotel of course). Overall a nice place with lots of tiny flaws that made it annoying. Maybe if you stay farther away from the night club or on one of the lower floors it would be nicer or quieter. Not sure if the bathroom issues would exist in other rooms - if it is a design flaw it probably would.

The design and the rooms are fine. Cleaning of the rooms 👍. But the beds especially the top madras was poor. The breakfast is served, at a corner to hall of the horse race track. Coffee cups and cutlery are dirty. Employees don’t react when we tell them. And the food plain and very boring. We stayed there during the Gothic cup. Big mistake. The hotel was not geared for that many guests. We had to eat breakfast with many, many and loud football camp kids. After the first disaster breakfast, we asked the receptionist when we could go and have breakfast the next morning…..hoping we could eat without feeling we were in a school dining hall. So to do that we had to get up eat in order to find a decent area to sit.

Very central hotel located close to the train station. Super nice service at reception and fantastic servive in the oak bar, You have to visit this bar. Nice clean rooms and friendly staff. A littel bit crowdy at breakfast and hard to get seats, So choose another time than peak time when the hotel is almost full. But overall a great place to stay.

We just loved Gotyhenberg and the location next to the rail station of this scandic was just great. We chose it cause of thre breakfast and werent disappointed. The variety was just lovely. The room was small but cosy-the bed also small but very comfortable. The shower and facilities were nice. I am a tall person, so would have appreciated a slightly bigger room, but I am guessing there arent any, which isnt a big issue in itself. The big critique for us was the lack of helpful reception- we have come to get used to customer service oriented staff around the world where we have stayed, but when needing help to obtain a refund for a misprinted airport bus ticket, we were told they couldnt call and we would need to do so from the room at a cost. We just couldnt grasp this response as it seemed completely unhelpful and cold. Please can you address this for next time as when you are staying in a stange place what you need most is helpful, ”cant do enough for you” and customer oriented staff-otherwise why would you return?

Having an appointment close by this property has a superb location literally opposite Göteborg central. Great if you are arriving by train, coming by car means that parking is at an (understandable) premium. But, for 395:- a night you get a reasonably spacious garage with direct access to the hotel. The hotel is designed in a square formation with a large atrium in the middle. It's good to be aware that many of the rooms face the atrium, which means your view will be looking out into the atrium. On Friday night the hotel had some event with live DJ and loud (but good!) music - having one of these internal rooms would have been disturbing. The check-in went smoothly, the receptionist recognized my Radisson status and gave us a room overlooking the square (one could see the station from the room!) and it was very quiet (didn't hear anything from the party/event on Friday night). Bathroom was fresh and clean, the shower had decent pressure although it tended to splash water on the floor. The executive room we got was spacious, had a comfy sofa (which didn't feel super clean), very comfortable bed, nespresso machine .. and no shoehorn! It seems to be a disappointing trend for Radisson properties to either have a pathetic small shoehorn, or none at all. The entrance was carpeted which although it had been vacuumed, it felt a little dirty. The rest of the room was wooden floors. The TV looked impressive - a good size .. but it turned out to be quite a dated unit with no accessible HDMI ports, we never used it. Breakfast is not included by default in the rate, and I have mentioned in other Radisson property reviews, this tends to reduce crowding and improve quality significantly. Breakfast was good here, not quite as good as the one in Stockholm, but the staff were overall very good. Didn't have a chance to try the gym or spa, but entering and exiting the lobby area it always felt lively and there was a hub of activity, especially on Friday evening. I would stay here again, and would recommend this property.

Very nice hotel in the middle of the center. Cozy restaurant and bar, good breakfast, nice staff and nice room. On the negative side there was no available parking for us in the hotel garage. I sent a mail 2 days infront, trying to reserve s parking place. Had to park at «Heden» a few blocks away. Really expensive hour based parking, and I’m used to Oslo prices. The bar prices was on the steep side in this hotel. For example a glass of redwine on the roof bar was 135 kr. In my eyes, way too much. No Aircon in the room, it was hot. There was a small fan in the room, it was better then nothing. All in all the hotel is good. Had stayed again if the price was ok.

I was very impressed by the hotel, it was clean, plenty of towels and bathroom products and I found all the staff friendly and helpful. It was also great to walk inside the airport to get to the hotel. Breakfast, I thought, was amazing. Loads of choices of food and drink. Everything looked fresh. The room looked out over the runway, our family liked to look, I guess it depends on what you like! We stayed here two nights and went into Gothenburg, it worked out cheaper to rent a car for two days than take the airport bus so we parked at the park and ride and used the ‘to go’ app to travel around the city. We did not eat at the restaurant but had a drink. Prices are higher than U.K. My children used the pool, there were clean towels and changing rooms there and they enjoyed it, you can book 24 before you use. Gym looked good but I didn’t use it. I would definitely return but couldn’t stay longer as prices are generally higher than the U.K.
