Lots of parking, check in was quick. The hotel lobby is very clean. The colours are very inviting. The room is spacious with a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. It is updated and modern. It is clean but the housekeeper needs to pay a little more attention to hidden spots as a housekeeper I notice things.Beside the bed between and behind the nightstand was toenail clippings.Furniture should be pulled out.Very quick 7 minute walk to Columbia Mall and restaurants.Pool is clean and warm with 3FT to 5FT depth open from 6am to 11pm adults only from 11pm-midnight.Breakfast has eggs, sausage, waffles, toast, bagels, yogurt, fruit and a pretty big space to eat.Staff is friendly

Second time I stayed. The hotel is old and it shows. But it’s not expensive. Get what you pay for. Nice breakfast included. Which is nice compared to some expensive places. However way cleaner than a year ago. Staff was great both times l, Very helpful and friendly. My room was clean. Hallway was clean. Lobby was spotless. I would stay there again. Check out and check in was easy.
Hampton Inn & Suites Grand Forks

This was our first time staying at the Hampton Inn in Grand Forks. Check in staff were friendly and easy to deal with. We stayed in a accessible room on the second floor, facing the back which had a walk in shower. The room was large, very clean, and very comfortable. It had a comfortable sofa, desk chair and standard chair all just right. The television could be swung from the wall to face the sofa or the bedroom. We were very happy with our two night stay. The only thing we found awkward was the experience in the breakfast room where breakfast was served from 6-9am. On our first day the female attendant was chatty and hovered around the area waiting to converse with guests. We were cordial. The second morning a gentleman ”Mr. Ben” was attending to the guests and the breakfast supplies. He got much too comfortable with each table of guests. There is no way I need to know his whole family history, and how his inlaws both have dimentia, and how he needs money to get them into a care home, and all the squabbles he's having with their kids, and on and on and on. He repeated the same story to everyone who entered and it took ten to fifteen minutes to disengage him. I'm not the kind who likes to know everyone's business at breakfast time. Both attendants need to be reminded they are there to do a job and to limit their greetings. As for the breakfast, it was mediocre but enough to start our day.

We had never stayed here before. Pleasantly surprised by the amenities for the price. Staff was friendly and check-in was easy. Rooms were clean and modern looking. Bed was average, shower was fine. Location was certainly convenient right off the interstate (but not noisy from traffic). Breakfast was what I consider a bit above average for hotel breakfast (fruit, cereal, muffins, bagels, eggs, yogurt, sausage, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, juice, coffee, tea). We didn't use the pool or exercise areas so no comment on those. I would stay here again when we are back in Grand Forks.
