Spent a week at this location. I would warn everyone to stay away. The list of issues are long so I will just share the top 5: 1) They were apparently ”testing” their fire alarm system and gave no notice to guests. Upon asking if everything is okay, I was told, ”just a routine test”...why they wouldn't warn guests to ensure no one panics is beyond me, but that sets the stage for the week. 2) They had to clean their septic tank and again, no heads up to the guest. Apparently inflation is costing printing paper to go up because guests now have to endure the smell of sewage throughout the hotel and their rooms. Now I get to sit here for hours to the smell of sewage. All they had to do was post signs, or slide a piece of paper under the door to let everyone know so they could make arrangements to not have to smell sewage. 3) Apparently house keeping does not know when the DO NOT DISTURB sign is hanging on the outside of the door, it means do not disturb. House keeping came knocking on my door multiple times while the DND sign was present. 4) The doors are not quiet close and you'll hear them slam at all hours of the night and morning. One lovely morning I got woken up to someone slamming their door at 3am. As a vet it's hard enough for me to sleep, but you can imagine how little sleep I got here. 5) Poor service. As an Ambassador member I do expect Marriott hotels to honor what they promise. There were no upgrades offered when my room was assigned (even though it states on their website that if an upgrade is available it will be AUTOMATICALLY assigned). When I asked if there were any upgrades I was told there were not, but the next day was told there were. Now you might think that someone had checked out since I last asked, but i arrived at 10pm the night before and asked at 10am the next morning. Anyone who travels, knows no hotel turns over rooms that quickly. I stood in front of one employee for 5 mins (I noticed he was working intensely and was trying to be polite), only to have him ignore me and walk away. When I got his attention and asked why he was ignoring me, he simply stated, ”I did not see you”.... I was approx. 6 ft from him. Lastly I would say trying to talk to management here is like talking to a brick wall who is looking for a fight. You get blank stares, excuses and a hostile interaction. Sharah the GM was very unpleasant to speak to. When I calmly explained my frustration I was interrupted and met with excuses. I simply suggested that there should have been warning for some of the problems and was answered, ”there's nothing I can say to make things better”. At that point I knew I was wasting my time. Again, stay away and spend your money where they value you. If you like to be treated poorly then this location is a good fit. I will be reaching out to Marriott directly about how poorly managed this location is.
Very Good
