Just in the center of the city, there is a one-way line on the side, and the friend who drives the car is going to drive carefully for the first time. Very good location, very close to the main attractions, walking distance, a little far from the castle. The hotel was originally an ancient building, the floor was slamming, and the hotel was filled with potted plants. Breakfast is plentiful.

This hotel wonderfully echoes Graz’s own character. Contemporary style mixed with a heritage architectural past. Like the dramatic modern paintings that adron white walls; chic sculptures decorating the courtyard, and the red bull influenced F1 artifacts in the lobby LOCATION: Lovely location in the fringes of old town, and easy access to all key points of interest DINE + DRINK: Cool lobby level cafe and bar. Didnt try their restaurant to comment on. ROOM: We stayed in 201, so this review is based on that; The room is more of a mini suite that is fit enough even for long term residence with a Kitchenette, Microwave and a reasonable big refrigerator compared to what you might find in a normal hotel room; VIEW:Sweet view of the streets ; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Nice spa quality cosmetics by HERBAL TREATS brand FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines. Small but cool indoor swimming pool SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages

The staff at this hotel is very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the location is not far from the old town area. It's a great choice for staying in Graz!
In addition, the breakfast ingredients are carefully selected and worth trying!

The hotel is brand new, opened in June this year. Our room was small but very nicely designed. It smelt good as we entered. With its wooden floors and furniture, it had a strong Scandinavian feel to it. Everything is new, sleek and modern. We slept very well and, given its location on a busy street and across from the railway station, remarkably quiet. The whole hotel is an oasis of calm. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. Unfortunately though, our experience at this otherwise excellent hotel was affected by our first few minutes there. We didn’t receive the best welcome: the receptionist was fully focused on someone behind us making a phone call rather than on what we were saying. She did not take any notice of us at all. We were already a little annoyed that the room we had booked the night before was, when we checked the room facilities online, cheaper on the day we checked in. When I asked her whether I could pay immediately rather than in the morning, as we wanted to get away early, she said yes, but it would “take a while”. It wasn’t until later that I realised I had no evidence that I’d paid, so had to ask her for a receipt. She didn’t give us any information about breakfast times, WiFi codes etc but I found that information on the tv screen in our room. Not too professional. Her colleagues on reception when we checked out were super professional and friendly though. First impressions count and if our first impressions had been better, I would have been more than happy to give this hotel the highest rating. We would still happily return though.
Like a mirror, the Best Western Hotel Strasser is reminiscent of the city in which it was built around 1900: Graz. Austrian hospitality and southern Mediterranean flair meet in the historical setting - and you meet a hotel with character in the heart of Graz.
Check-in is already easy: the reception is 24 hours there for you. Relax after your arrival in the lobby lounge with a refreshing drink from the hotel bar, which is also open 24/7. In the morning you inhale the scent of freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee at the breakfast buffet, which we prepare every day with great attention to detail.
Coffee tea, cable TV and a small desk await you in the comfortable rooms. In the bathroom with shower you will find shampoo, soap, body peeling and balm as well as a hair dryer. Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel.
Thanks to the central location of the hotel with direct proximity to Graz main train station, the Schlossberg, Uhrturm, Murinsel, Kunsthaus and Co. can be reached within a 15-minute walk.
Alternatively, the tram, which will take you to the center of Graz free of charge, stops in front of the hotel gates. As an important junction for public transport, the main bus, tram- and train connections to the rest of the city are available at the central railway station which is in direct vicinity of the Hotel. There you find also local and long-distance transport.
The hotel has been named after the Strasser family since 1900. There is a lot to discover in the historic walls: pompous Mediterranean flair, playful Art Nouveau, modern amenities. As diverse as Graz itself. If you choose the Hotel Strasser Graz, you will stay in a hotel with character. We look forward to welcoming you.

Very nice staff, very clean room and comfortable bed. we have not enjoyed breakfast and other services. good location to walk in the center (20 minutes walk) or with public means easily accessible the room and bathroom. the bathroom is very small and the shower was all accumulating water on the plate. there is no car park with a safe but we could leave the car in the street right in front on entrance. excellent for a short stay

What a great place to stay, just out of city centre but easy access in to town with a punctual and efficient tram and bus network. Originally booked the basic room (cheapest) upgraded when I got there and well worth the little extra with a balcony also. The staff were helpful and friendly and I look forward to returning pretty soon...

Plus points - the location is good and the rooms are a decent size with decent facilities Minus points - the staff friendliness was a bit hit and miss - some where great, some not so helpful. The room service was a bit patchy - one day no towels, another day tea and coffee not replenished. The parking was also not ideal - I booked this hotel because it had hotel parking. I arrived around 10pm and was told the car park was full and I'd have to find somewhere to park myself either on the road outside or search the internet for a car park close by! Not really what I wanted to hear having travelled for around 12 hours - fortunately there was one remaining space fairly close which was a relief. We were lucky for the remainder of our stay that we managed to get a space in the undeground car park. If you do get a space the car park is really good - well lit, modern and easy to park with good room for each parking space. Overall our stay was ok.

The hotel looks new. Designed in minimalist way, cutting down costs while serving the essentials. A hostel, effectively. Located over 15 minutes away by car from the city centre, the hotel offers free carpark to attract residents. Public transport is less reliable. Breakfast is cheap (€10.5), choice is understandably little. In short, it is quiet, clean and simple.

This hotel is easy to get to and it only 10 mins drive to the airport. There is parking around the hotel and I was charged €8 to park overnight. I didn’t see any options for a hotel bus shuttle and in a previous stay I paid €20 for a taxi to/from the hotel My room was quite big with lots of room. The room looks updated and modern and there was a comfortable king bed, flat screen TV (hardly any English speaking channels) work table, lounge chair and side table to relax in. The room had air conditioning with an old thermostat, you could hear the air conditioning running but even if it was on for a long time I didn’t feel the room getting any cooler. In fact I had to open the window in the evening to cool the room down, I was facing the busy motorway so there was a lot of road noise from the open window. The bathroom was a good size, with room to put toiletries at the sink and a good shower Wifi was available throughout the hotel and worked fine. The hotel does have a fitness room but I didn’t use it. The hotel does have a small mini market at reception that you can buy snacks. There is a bar and restaurant at the hotel I only stayed one night and the restaurant was only doing a buffet dinner at that time. I arrived to eat barely 20 minutes after the restaurant opened, but the food presented looked and tasted as if it had been sitting out for hours. The pork dish was oily, overcooked and chewy, the chips were a mixture of undercooked and overcooked and barely warm, the bread felt and tasted a couple of days old, the pasta was stodgy and the sauce was congealed. The salad, fruit and dessert options were fresh, but the selection was small. For the price of €20 I was disappointed I also had breakfast the next morning, it was €16, and again the food wasn’t that tasty and there was a limited selection Overall this hotel is clean comfortable hotel if you are staying before a flight, and I would stay here again, although I would be eating elsewhere

Excellent
Pleasent surprise! We stayed there for two nights and everything was taken care of. We mentioned that we have 2 toddlers and the rooms were well prepared for it. The whole room was spotless and clean as well as the bathroom. Our beds were clean and it felt so good to sleep in it. Breakfast was excellent and we had everything we wished for. The personnel is very friendly and accommodating. If we ever visit Graz again, this is the place we want to stay in. We can only recommend it. Best regards!
CCHENThe counter is very friendly, the room is clean, the breakfast counter will ask what kind of coffee is needed, and the cleaning action is also very fast, but the cleaning staff did not find that the shower gel has been used up and has not been replaced.
GGuest UserCheck-in time is specified as 13:00-20:00. In fact, the room could only be obtained just before 18:00. This was not on the cleaning team but on the reception/management which allowed the former guest to occupy the room until 17:00 (instead of only 12:00). The wish of the previous guest was therefore on the expense of the new guest. The greetings at 13:45, 17:25 and 17:50 are somewhat excited accordingly; a friendly, warm ”Welcome” is different.
When checking out, a tax will be due even though the bill has already been charged when booking. This could have been mentioned on the booking confirmation or elsewhere or at the latest when checking. Thus, when we adopt a decision, we are in a disappointing situation in the form of a discussion with a tough, brumous, apparently disturbing receptionist.
The room is fully equipped: If the bathtub is to be used as a shower, a robust stop for safety would be advantageous when (glish) out.
Location: in foot distance to the train station, well reachable with tram, not too far from the center, corresponding to some (but not really much) road noise until 24:00 and from 5:30.
Ddmsuk_12Very happy with our night here, very good welcome from reception, early check in and showed us maps and where to catch a tram. Free parking right outside for our motorcycle. Clean, modern, air conditioned and comfortable room and bathroom. Lovely bar area, helpful bar staff & good selection of drinks and fairly priced. The breakfast was outstanding, great selection of hot and cold foods (and fried eggs if you ask) Lots of healthy choices including a variety of fresh fruit and DIY vegetable juice. Good coffee but poor 'juice', more like squash. Also really enjoyed to be able to take our drinks and breakfast outside. Location was 15 min walk to town or a tram from outside the hotel. Excellent value for money, think we got a really good rate!
I do not recommend staying at the B&B Hotel - Graz Hbf -- details are below, but to sum it up, the condition of the hotel room was not appropriate for guests and we should not have been booked, and nothing was done to resolve the horrible smell in the room. My family and I booked two rooms for a weekend in July to stay in Graz to attend the Austrian Grand Prix, and have a hotel in close proximity to the train station. Because there were 4 people in our group, we needed to book two rooms. We were traveling with our young children so we requested rooms near to each other and were assigned rooms next door to each other. The smell and odor in one of the rooms that I was staying in with one of my children was horrible. It was coming from the shower drain, like something was rotting or clogged in there. It smelled as though someone vomited or put something decaying in the shower drain, along with cigarette smoke. It made the entire room smell disgusting. I spoke to the front desk attendant on Saturday morning and was told housekeeping would attend to it immediately. When we returned Saturday evening after being away all day, the smell was still overpowering. I was told the hotel was full and nothing could be done for us. I had the nighttime desk attendant come up to smell the room. I again spoke to the front desk attendant on Sunday morning and was told the room had been checked but nothing could be done. I asked her to please go into the room to understand the terrible smell and to move our room for Sunday night. We were moved to another room that evening since there were rooms available then. Even though it was not very warm outside, both rooms were also very warm, the air conditioning not appearing to be working. The windows did not have screens on them, so if we opened them to try to cool off the rooms (and also to air out the smell in the one room), the room would fill with moths. The condition of the one room was not appropriate for a guest to stay in, and it was an even bigger problem that no one could do anything to fix it. The multiple people at the hotel desk that we spoke with said nothing could be done because it was a weekend and the hotel was full on the Saturday evening. We were unable to sleep because the rooms were so warm and the smell in the one room made us feel ill. They could not provide a cot or roll-away so that all of us could stay in one room instead. I was later told by the hotel management: ”On Saturday morning the room was immediately checked after you spoke with the front deck, and the shower drain was opened and deeply cleaned. We just found out later that it didn't help, as it should, because a brand new part of the drain was needed.” Clearly from this message, there was a serious issue with the plumbing in the room. The condition of the room was not appropriate for guests to stay in it, and we should not have been placed there. I do not recommend this hotel, as it was also our most expensive hotel stay during our
GGuest UserClean and beautiful
But the room is much smaller than I thought
Four people, but four people cannot carry the carrier at the same time!
You just need to sleep
In addition, the staff are friendly, the breakfast is delicious, and parking is easy.
The facilities are clean and the water is good
