Hotels near Schloss Eggenberg in Graz

Plus points - the location is good and the rooms are a decent size with decent facilities Minus points - the staff friendliness was a bit hit and miss - some where great, some not so helpful. The room service was a bit patchy - one day no towels, another day tea and coffee not replenished. The parking was also not ideal - I booked this hotel because it had hotel parking. I arrived around 10pm and was told the car park was full and I'd have to find somewhere to park myself either on the road outside or search the internet for a car park close by! Not really what I wanted to hear having travelled for around 12 hours - fortunately there was one remaining space fairly close which was a relief. We were lucky for the remainder of our stay that we managed to get a space in the undeground car park. If you do get a space the car park is really good - well lit, modern and easy to park with good room for each parking space. Overall our stay was ok.

The hotel looks new. Designed in minimalist way, cutting down costs while serving the essentials. A hostel, effectively. Located over 15 minutes away by car from the city centre, the hotel offers free carpark to attract residents. Public transport is less reliable. Breakfast is cheap (€10.5), choice is understandably little. In short, it is quiet, clean and simple.

Stayed here for one night in April 2023 and thought it was fine. There is still reconstruction work going on on floor 1 but we didn't hear it. Did I hear it on the weekend? No. The junior suite was absolutely fine with a little balcony and a table outside. I am surprised this hotel doesn't have better reviews on here. POSITIVES: The room was very nice, bed was comfy and staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent too. It is about 5 minutes to walk to the number 6 tram at the Friedhof St. Peter (Cemetery) stop from Moserhofgasse - this gets you into the city very quickly. NEGATIVES: There are only 5 very minor negatives about the stay here, which is the reason it only gets 4 out of 5. 1. Parking charges - you are nowhere near the middle of Graz but they would like you to park in their garage at a cost. Alternatively they offer you green zone parking on the street outside which is free, but only at the weekend. Why on earth they cannot come to some deal with the the BILLA supermarket next door is beyond me, as BILLA car parks are never full up. 2. The pillows were stupidly squashy and there were no spares/extra pillows in the room. 3. We were not offered a Wifi password when we arrived and used BILLA free wifi next door instead. 4. No spoons in the room. Granted they have a very nice Nespresso coffee machine and capsules but no spoons or stirrers for the coffee. The advert stated the room had a fridge - it didn't. 5. The HOTEL TV is a nuisance as the remote didn't work, neither did the HDMI socket. Why hotels switch off HDMI sockets on TVs is ridiculous - this is 2023 and we can bring our own devices, watch what we want on them and be able to plug them into the TV in the hotel. They need to fix this and regularly check their remote controls. If you are stuck for something to do on a Sunday, the Grazer Trödlermarkt (Fleamarket) is within walking distance of this hotel and although you probably won't buy anything, it is a real trip down memory lane looking at all the old junk that they have for sale there.

Complicated and unprofessional booking. I called the site number to which an operator who could not accept the booking answered. He told me he would call me someone who would take care of the matter. The only free room was more expensive by booking directly than by making it on Booking Machine to park in the street. Location: on the round Ristorant likeitalian: technical service ko, food ok Breakfast: without soy milk (server at my request went to buy it in the front supermarket) .

Location and services are excellent. Staff are friend and efficient. Hotel design is simple, but remarkable. The only comment is the lack of hot drinking water. There is no water boiler in the room (seems most hotels in Europe are the same). It is quite inconvenient in the cold season.

I booked this hotel for my service trip and I am absolutely enthusiastic. Here is everything quite right. The rooms are modern and equipped with everything. High speed Wi-Fi and a great bar invite to work or stay. The breakfast is rich and simply only classic. The super friendly team rounds out an excellent and pleasant stay here. Surely not my last visit here.

The hotel was very modern and very urban, with clean interiors, hot colors, friendly staff. I arrived very early in the morning and they gave me a room without overpriced. A bar with a wide selection of gin from all countries where this hotel chain is present is located at the reception. My room was very busy, but the windows were very isolated and it was almost nothing to feel. Excellent quality-price ratio (I paid EUR 120). The only neo: the room was quite small. But still big enough

This was our 1st stop duering our recent tour of Austria & what a great start ! After a 3hr train journey from Vienna through stunning scenery we arrived at Graz station. The hotel didnt appear to be far & only having hand luggage decided to walk which took us about 15mins. The hotel is convenient located near the old town with views over the river. Check in was both friendly & efficient which was appreciated as we had been travelling since early hours from the UK. We was very pleased with our room, bed was comfortable & our bathroom both roomy & well appointed. Duering our 2 day stay we very enjoyed our breakfasts served in the conservatory & I thought that the drinks we had in the hotel bar were very reasonable. There are terraced rear gardens with fabulous views & an outside pool but we resisted the temptation for a dip as it was mid February & about -4C 😁

The rooms are very nice and spacious with all the amenities necessary. Personnel at reception and restaurant are very helpful and smiling often. The bed is very comfortable and breakfast is great with a lot of things to choose from. Wifi works well. Be aware that if you arrive after 23:00 you need to make a call to another hotel to receive the key for getting inside and in your room. Walking distance from everything in the city centre.

The counter is very friendly, the room is clean, the breakfast counter will ask what kind of coffee is needed, and the cleaning action is also very fast, but the cleaning staff did not find that the shower gel has been used up and has not been replaced.
