Past reviews had feedback about construction. It’s over, and the place is engineered for a relaxing place if you are visiting Rye for biz or family/pleasure. Rooms are clean and I loved that they had housekeeping done each day before 10:00 am. We are here to celebrate a new grandbaby and have made this our “nest”. The cafe is excellent (I assumed nasty motel breakfast and got a delish Gruyère burrito.). Decent wine and excellent little convo spaces with TVs ( Succession!) where we felt like this is a home away from home. The staff are aware this is a turnaround and anxious to please in the best way. Lovely people. Once the night nurse is done, and the guest room is open, we may not need to Courtyard but as our family grows in Rye I’m so happy to know this is an option! Good job, people who work here 👍

I’ll start with the pros. Extremely friendly front desk staff, parking on site( with a fee unless you are a hyatt member), clean room large room. Cons- nothing is more disappointing than hearing we are renovating at the time of check-in. It should be a requirement for the hotel to let guests know before booking that they are going thru renovations. Nothing was mentioned at the time I booked. They have no restaurant or store on site for snacks/food etc. You have to order room service. There is nothing really in walking distance and once you park, check-in to this massive hotel- the last thing you want to do is get back in your car. The room service was delivered with plastic cups/plastic plates. Another “Covid” excuse. Time for these establishments to get back on track with amenities and services. The excuse is getting old.

I haven't been here since before COVID so I'm considering that in this review. I think they have made zero improvements since 2019. I checked in to find out that there were no bottles of water. It was a good thing I brought my own and I'm a Gold Honors member. The front desk worker was very nice and pleasant. But the rooms are getting very old and are in a dire need of a makeover.

Came to Sonesta to rest the night after having a terrible day and my day immediately became better off of two interactions with the staff. Danaya and a bartender who I saw from 6-7pm. I was on line ready to check in with a down look on my face since I wasn’t able to return home after working a double at the hospital. As I go up to check in I’m greeted with this amazing energy, positive attitude, vibe and aura that can immediately make you smile after just a couple of sentences. This person is Danaya. She made my day so much better after just a small conversation. I did come back down later to drop my girlfriend off to her car and again me and her both were greeted with the same energy that I had received a couple of hours earlier. I do believe that every job and every place deserves someone like Danaya! The amount of joy I received after checking in truly made my night so much better and I wish her all the best! I wish I had asked for the bartender’s name who made me a Caribbean rum punch! I sat down after speaking with Danaya who told me about happy hour, and ask the bartender for his favorite drink since I had just turned 21 a week/ 2 weeks ago. He immediately went to work on the first drink I’ve had out of the many I’ve had in this short time that I enjoyed. I’m not big on Alcohol since I’m just now exploring it but the one he had made for me was amazing. With his cheerful attitude and quickness of the drink I was definitely grateful for him being there! Wish him all the best also! The room was amazing and something not many people realize is how important it is to have such good water while showering. I feel like it’s always overlooked but my shower was fantastic here. The king sized bed I had was like sleeping and a cloud and the channels they had were great to watch. Tv was amazing and everything was clean. The window has an amazing view! This hotel is amazing. From the rooms, to the guest and to the staff that do their best to provide nothing but the best service you can receive. Any hotel can offer a bed to sleep on and a happy hour but none do it better than Sonesta! Thank you to all who work there and I wish you the best in life. And another personal thanks to Danaya, the bartender who served me, and to whoever cleaned my room before and after my stay! I wish nothing but great things for you guys! The hotel is located in a desirable location, close to shops, restaurants and transportation. The rooms are clean, and laid out in a practical, functional way. Breakfast is included and is plentiful- perfect for our family of 6. It’s not gourmet, it’s free, so enjoy it and be thankful. We witnessed a few guests be condescending and rude to the staff who were trying to keep up with the morning rush. We found a table each morning except for one which was fine and we ate in our room which had a table, chairs and a large kitchen area. All of our staff interactions were pleasant. Parking is convenient and located adjacent the entrance. The laundry room is excellent with plenty of machines to accommodate all guests. The gym is small but clean and well maintained. The rooms are the best feature. If you need a place for more than one night and you have a large family, this is the right choice. I’d recommend this hotel for families, especially those with young children because the rooms are large and the kids have space to play. The hotel was very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is checks all the boxes for a family with children who need no frills, convenience, practicality, functionality, and clean.

+Lobby staff & management were very friendly, efficient, and negotiable with our extended stay. Always quick to address any concerns or questions. +Cleaning staff came daily unless asked otherwise, keep rooms very clean and tidy. +Close to downtown area - around five minutes driving, around 15 minutes walking - with lots of parking space available. +Free breakfast in the morning! +Good, strong WiFi connection available - very briefly lost Internet once in two weeks. +Dog-friendly with reasonable rates! Hotel, as a whole, seemed dated as others have said. My partner and I made many a joke to it looking like The Shining. We didn't mind, but something to note. The free breakfast had a limited selection. Don't expect full buffets, just something to get you through the morning 'til lunch. We didn't get the chance to use the facilities (laundry, gym), but they were offered. -The beds were hard and were uncomfortable to us. We needed to purchase a foam mattress to make sleep more bearable, as our hips and backs started to hurt after the first two nights. -The elevators broke down more than a few times during our stay. Thankfully they worked on check-out day, otherwise we would have been in trouble! OVERALL: For the price and location, we were very happy with our stay! Love the staff, attentiveness and consistency. Just wished they had better beds and less temperamental elevators. Even with the dated appearance, if you need a place to stay, this place does the job for a price that won't burn your wallet. We recommend!

Room 218. On entering the door I was met a very clean suite. The bedroon area is in/out door carpet, with the bathroom and hallway a tile like material. A comfortable king be with five pillows. On the left side is a shelf with a digital clock with a small yet very bright light. On the right side is a wooden bench, with a phone. Facing the bed is a combo cabinet with a medium side flat screen, micro and fridge. Didn't have time for the micro or tv. A deck with lamp, two outlets & one charing unit. A comfortable swival chair. In one corner is a floor lamp. I counted three usable double outlets. Room has a luggage rack. Bathroom. A tub/shower combo. Hot water for shower in five seconds, good tome for a three story facility. Plenty of towels. Two small bars of soap for sink & shower. I suggest bring your own bars of soap.Good size mirror. Hair dryer. Bottles of shampoo, conitioner, body wash, antibacterial hand sanitizer and for the lady guest makeup remover. The bathroom's only drawback is that the door must be shut to use the toilet, bathroom is short in length. The closet has a double sliding door-each door has a full length mirror. Closet has iron & board, five wooden hangers with a tubular shelf. The desk is the room's coffee maker with Rainforest & Premium select Decaf. Room's A/C is contralled by a wall unit. On arrival at 4:00 PM, a/c was on that needed to be shut off. There is no blakout curtains, instead a grayest white to block any outside lookers. Breakfast. Hours start at 6:30. Two waffle maker. Hard boiled eggs, pasties, cooler for butter, yoget, bowl for apples & oranges. Three dry cereals. Drinks are coffee, apple & orange juices & cold water.Sitting were 4 route tables & 5 square tables and two childred's high chairs. Lounge chairs are available watching the morning news. Guests are greeted with a ste of automatic sliding doors. There is an indoor pool & fitness center. Being on the second I heand NO from the third floor. Plenty of parking mostly in back.. The nearest service/convenient station is an Exxon right across Saw Miill River Road.Two elevator are available, each being quiet & smooth. I would say four guest at one time would be best. Checkin/out was not a problem. The only staff member I learned was La Crista. I recommend a stay. I stayed in another Batmont that had taked over another chain that ended being at most a B. This Baymont had recently taken over another chain, however this facility is an A. The only drawback was the small bathroom.

I'm sure that if you need a bed to sleep in, this place is fine. Do not have a situation or circumstance that requires manager assistance, forget it! I'm a travel nurse working for a nearby hospital. The night before my scheduled reservation, I tested positive for covid. I immediately contacted the hotel to let them know, and was old to forward my results to the managers email address, and they would refund my stay. I sent the results the next day and called to follow up a few days later. I was told the manager was out and to call in 2 days after 3pm. This happened several times for a few weeks before I actually received correspondence from the manager stating that I would need to contact Priceline to get the refund authorized. I immediately called them and they went through the same process with contacting the manager as I did. Eventually, she declined to give he refund. I hen escalated to the Better Business Bureau, and she chose not to respond to that either. I even attempted to reach back out via email thinking she may empathize with my situation and again, she chose not to respond at all. I'm disgusted at this behavior and will not choose them again.

I stayed in this hotel for my business trip. The location of this hotel is very convenient, easy access to highway and the train goes to Manhattan directly. I used the train to travel Manhattan, it was a easy access to the time square. The room is clean, I was very impressed seeing the staff sanitizing heavy traffic areas. The staff is friendly and when I was there, one of the elevators was broken, but the staff helped us to carry the luggage to the room. Before I left, the elevator is repaired. This is quiet impressive of the service. It seems customer service is priority in this particular hotel.

It was a good location and the rooftop was beautiful!
