Old and shabby, poor hygiene, and you have to climb stairs to get to the room. Not cheap, low cost performance. Not recommended.

The most terrible hotel I've encountered in China!
Everything is dirty! Cigarette butts are on the floor, lumps of dirt, it smells like smoke, the staff is not responsive!
The room hasn't been cleaned for like a year, there are fires everywhere, it's unsanitary! The bed is dirty, as if it had not been changed at all during the entire existence of the hotel! Someone was crawling on the bed, I took my things and ate them.
They got away with returning the money!

Great value for the location— it would be silly to nitpick details when the price was only about $22 in a central business district of Guangzhou. The key advantages are the location: 4 minute walk from the line 3 (you can go straight from the airport, or one switch from Guangzhou South) and the same distance to the US consulate, should you have errands to run there.
