My teen daughter and I stayed at the Westin for three nights and this is the first time I've been back there in 20 years. I had forgotten how lovely the hotel is! The lobby, dining areas, pool are, and rooms were all very clean and beautiful. The pool cushions are covered each night to protect from rain, and the pool is maintained regularly to remove fallen leaves; the pool area is filled with lush trees and plants. The fitness center is extensive, with numerous separate rooms for weights, spin classes, yoga classes, and cardio equipment. When we arrived, it was Saturday before Easter, and there was a beautiful example of sawdust carpet just inside the lobby for us to enjoy for the holiday. The breakfast buffet was spectacular, with many options for fruit, yogurt, breads (even a donut tree!), meats and cheeses, Guatemalan foods, eggs, and much more; there was an omelet/egg station and a crepe/pancake station for made-to-order selections. Also available were fresh juice varieties, and even a table filled with coconuts where you only had to grab a straw and take it with you. We enjoyed 3 mornings of breakfast and one evening meal; I highly recommend the Surf & Turf Tacos. One day by the pool we shared a plate of Nachos, which was fantastic. Our room was very nice; we had plenty of bottled water each day, the towels were soft, and the beds were comfortable. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. There is an ATM on site, which was very convenient. Cab fee to the airport was $10 and could be paid at the front desk or at the concierge. I will not wait another 20 years for our next visit. Thank you!
