I would totally agree with their 8/10 rating but …. The ladies at the front desk were rude to the next level! I arrived early and someone checked me into the system. The room (understandably) would not be available, as I arrived at 10:00 am. I dropped off my luggage and headed out. I returned and asked to collected my bags. The woman helping me was handed a keycard. My sixth floor room, two doors from the gym, seemed an odd choice. I went to the room, entered and closed the door. There was no security latch. It was missing. I left my luggage and went downstairs. I was made to wait almost thirty minutes for maintenance. I was never offered another room. That seemed odd, as the hotel was not full. Finally, I was sent back upstairs. There were three men from maintenance at the door. I let them in and they fixed the door. When they were done, I left the room to check out the small gym. Upon returning to my door, I noticed that the door didn’t fit the frame. There was a gap of about an inch. None of the other doors near me had this problem. Clearly, the door was damaged (by someone trying to break inside, I wondered) and the front desk staff decided to assign it to me. I went back to the front desk and showed them photos of the door. After some time, discussing the situation, my room was changed. The woman who checked me in, earlier that day, never looked me in the eyes. I went back to the old room, gathered my luggage, and went to the new one. The keycard didn’t work. I used the phone by the elevator to notify the front desk. I then sat on the floor, in front of the room, waiting for the new keycard. Two days before checking out, I went to the desk to request their airport shuttle. Someone called me later that night to confirm that my pick up was the following morning. I told the person “at the front desk” that my checkout was not tomorrow. It was the day after tomorrow. Then, at 4:20 AM, the phone in the room rang. It was the front desk telling me that the driver was downstairs. I explained (again) that my flight (and shuttle reservation) was for the following day. The ladies at the front desk clearly wanted me to know that I was NOT welcomed at their hotel. Note to self!
