We had a delightful stay over four nights in this wonderful property situated perfectly for visiting the Normandy beaches and surrounding area. The food was excellent and every effort was made to please us.

A beautiful location with a wonderful garden. The room was large, quiet and very clean. The outdoor spa is a relaxing place with a nice view at the cathedral. The service is on high level and very friendly. The barbecue at the restaurant was an amazing experience.

Our stay at Chateau Saint-Gilles was great start to finish! The property is absolutely stunning - rooms and outdoor farm area/pool and spa alike. Staff is super friendly and great service (and good bartending!). 10/10 would recommend

Chateau Saint Gilles is a little gem just outside Bayeux. You sense the calm as soon as you arrive at the hotel. The rooms are beautifully furnished and in the style of an old castle. The breakfast was super delicious with lots of local ingredients. They grow their own vegetables which are used in the restaurant - new menu every night, really really delicious food.

Chateau Saint Gilles is the perfect home base for a trip to Normandy. Minutes to Bayeaux, with the feeling of a country estate. Everything was top notch: the rooms were spacious and comfortable, breakfast was superb and dinner delicious, the pool/sauna/spa area was an unexpected and delightful retreat. Staff were so helpful and friendly! Highly recommend.

We stayed here for a couple of days before heading to Paris for the Olympics and couldn't have been happier with it. I wish we'd had more time there. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. It's absolutely beautiful. There's a pool, perfectly manicured grounds, clean, well-maintained property with big rooms, comfortable beds and showers. It's very close to Bayeux but slightly outside of the downtown area so it's quiet and relaxing. They have a lovely little restaurant that's open most of the day. They serve produce they grow onsite and wonderful Calvados and cider from the region. There's a nice breakfast spread with the best coffee machine ever. Special thank you to the three young ladies who served us dinner on August 1st. They were delightful. It was a perfect homebase for our visit to the D-day beaches. Unfortunately, I just took pics of the food but go see it for yourself.

Ouvert depuis cinq ans, le restaurant, jusqu’ici réservé aux hôtes de l’hôtel, a désormais ouvert ses portes à tous. Chacun a ainsi l’opportunité de découvrir cet établissement charmant en pleine nature, à seulement deux minutes de Bayeux (aucun problème de stationnement ici ). La cuisine, principalement composée de produits du jardin du château et de produits locaux, est à la fois "sobre", authentique et raffinée : elle est aussi délicieuse que visuellement appétissante. La formule du midi permet de découvrir les talents du chef ainsi que ce restaurant où l’on se sent bien et à l’aise, malgré le nom de « château » qui pourrait intimider certains. Il ne faut pas non plus oublier le service compétent et très agréable. Un lieu unique et une excellente table : tout est réuni pour passer un délicieux moment.
