Hotels Near Tynehead RV Camp in Guildford

We picked the hotel because of its affordability and the ok reviews. It’s a standard two star hotel. Parking was free and just outside. The room itself was small and smelled bad. There clearly had been people smoking in our room at some point previously. The tv didn’t work (they rectified this by the second night). The room was dirty. There were squished spiders on the bathroom door that had been there a while. The sheets were stained with make up and something that looked like blood. Some of the pillows had clearly been in existence for 30+ years and needed chucking! The first night, there was a random man stood outside our hotel room when we arrived at about 10:30. When we went in our room he just walked off. He didn’t work there and I don’t even think he was a bore guest. The second night, when we returned to our room, the key card no longer worked. I told reception and were given access to the room. I think they would have given us access to anyones room if we had provided their number instead. The security is definitely in need of improvement. It’s a suitable place to get your head down, but I would only recommend spending the exact amount of time that you intend to sleep at the hotel and no more.

Good breakfast, milk, yogurt, cereal, coffee drink, bread, eggs, bacon, waffles, fruit, etc., coffee, tea is available all day, parking is convenient, travel is also very convenient, the surrounding gas station supermarket is very close

The hotel room is relatively large, although the facilities are successful, but it is still very clean.  It is a very cost-effective hotel in that area and should stay again next time.

A nice, comfortable hotel. Staff was friendly, easy check-in. The onsite Moxies restaurant was convenient. The amenities, were decent as well. The rooms are clean, comfortable, modern, with very high ceilings. There is really nothing that was negative.

This is a fine 3.5* hotel, with great service, solid complimentary breakfast, comfortable beds, quiet rooms, small but good fitness room, and attentive housekeeping. Parking is easy. There's lots of restaurants, shops, grocery stores nearby. For price paid, I would come back here again. You're 40 minutes to the heart of Vancouver but the cost differential is huge.

When we checked into the Ramada by Wyndham Coquitlam, the front desk clerk did not tell us that we would have to go outside, through the parking lot to get to the indoor pool. She also did not tell us we would have to go to the front desk to get towels for the pool. We had to ask another guest how to find the pool, we went there, only to have to return to the front desk to get our towels. She should have asked if we were going to use the pool, tell us where it is, and give us the towels as we were registering. We found out from other guests instead. Once we got to the pool, we found that the hotel had rented out the pool to a learn to swim class of a half dozen screeching, screaming 'tweenagers' who splashed constantly. The pool itself had such a hot temperature, it was anything but refreshing and definitely not relaxing with all that noise echoing in the pool room. Our room was on the first floor and the hallway from the front desk of this 'non-smoking hotel' was extremely smokey. I am allergic to smoke and this made it very uncomfortable for me. My daughter suggested that the staff 'outside smoking area' is likely near the clean air intake for the air conditioning system. That needs to be changed! I would not recommend to people to stay at this hotel at all.

Thank you for the opportunity to describe my Inn at the Quay experience. I was booked for a day procedure at Royal Columbian Hospital at 6:00AM on Saturday May 20. Because I was travelling from out of town and had to be driven home (as a requirement of the procedure) I elected to travel by train to Vancouver and then New Westminster on the day before, Friday. On Tuesday May 16 I booked a room at your hotel for the night of the night of Friday May 19 for $389.00 ex-taxes. My plan was to take a cab to the Hospital and then my daughter was then going to drive to town to pick me up and drive me home after the procedure on Saturday. After travelling to New Westminster I had time to kill because I called the Inn at the Quay to see if I could get an early check in but was told that you were very busy and that was not possible. The hospital recommends attending with only your care card for security reasons. For this reason I had my BC Care Card and the credit card I used to book the room in my cellular phone case. During my wanders I lost my phone. Fortunately I had a significant amount of cash so I got a cab immediately and attended at your hotel. I explained my situation to the clerk on the desk and she said that she could not check me in without the credit card I used to book the room. I asked her if you would charge that card with the room price if I had not shown up and she agreed that that was the case. When I asked if she could just charge the card and let me stay she said that the situation was different and was against your policy. I questioned her further and she summoned a person form the back office who agreed that the situation was completely different and actually said “Sorry, we can’t help you.” When I suggested cancelling the credit card transaction and paying in cash that suggestion was also turned down. Reason was lost on these two minions that are trained to be slavishly obedient to your rules and policies. I am sure that if you question these two they will agree that I was polite and courteous throughout our encounter. After several attempts at circumventing their indifference I felt that I should leave before I started to get mad. As a competent, attentive and businesslike hotelier I am sure you are aware of the saturation in your market on any given day. If you harken back to May 19 you will recall that all of the other hotels in New Westminster and as far as Port Coquitlam were completely booked. No matter, I was able to avail myself of a comfortable chair in the admitting lobby of the Royal Columbian Hospital from 4:00PM on Friday until 6:00AM the following morning. Except of course when I had to leave the admitting lobby while the janitors polished the floors. Because the Emergency Room lobby was full I was able to meet some of the interesting local street residents that were outside at 2:30AM. We recently stayed at the Days Inn Langley location. Do not let the age of this hotel turn you off...it's well maintained - some areas show some wear and tear, but the rooms are large and the staff is exceptional. They were very accommodating to the group we were with and always pleasant to deal with! Wouldn't hesitate to book here again!

And its satisfaction! The two landlords took the initiative to upgrade the room for free. There was no breakfast, and they made breakfast according to my preferences every day! The environment is elegant, comfortable and warm! The service is really the most satisfying time for all the hotels and homestays I have ever stayed in! Recommended to me a lot of friends! This will be my permanent place to stay!
