To be honest, we found the minion bedsheets hilarious and had to book them for that reason. But the location was pretty great, near elephant trunk hill and all that. If you rent a bike with Alipay you can get around the city very easily from here. Be aware that there are no western toilets here

I arrived at 11:20 (past the start of the check-in time) and had to wait for an hour for somebody to show up. The phone number mentioned at the reception desk did not respond to my text messages or calls. The trip.com assistants tried to contact the hotel staff three times before someone actually came in to check me in. They didn't even apologise nicely.
The room is a bit small and is alright only if you are in Guilin just for one night. They don't clean it, and if you stay for three days (as i did), you get one toothbrush and one tiny bag of shower gel and shampoo for the whole duration of your stay. No soap. If people talk outside the room, you hear them clearly.
The location is okay, pretty close to the city centre.

The room was cozy and very close to the city's attractions; getting around was very convenient with plenty of shared electric bikes available along the street. The owner was very nice and welcoming: highly recommended. For this price, there's not much to say! Excellent!
