Visited here last month and just wanted to state how good the hotel was and more importantly, we couldn’t speak highly enough of the staff. The town is less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel - the route is fairly steep but manageable. Would not hesitate to use this hotel for our base once again. Good breakfast for a reasonable price and also free parking which comes in handy.

This hotel is located in a quiet middle-upper class neighbourhood that is about 30 minutes walk (it’s really easy to walk) from the beach and city centre. Hotel staff speak good English and overall service level was high. Hotel room looks modern and clean. The balcony is lovely! (book a room with balcony!). Bed is also large and comfortable with plenty of amenities in-room. They also have English TV channels which was very much appreciated! Excellent. A sleeper hit!

It is such a nice and luxury Spa hotel. Room is very well designed and comfy. Everything you need is in the room, kettle, fridge etc. Hotel has a Spa, Gym and swimming pool. Spa is not free but Gym and swimming pool is free. If you want to stay in San Sebastián but a bit farther from city center this is perfect place for you.

We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are quite basic but beds are comfortable & there is air conditioning. We had a seaview. The pool/area is very spacious with plenty of beds & umbrellas. We did not eat at the hotel but when we came back one evening & had a drink in the bar other people had food which looked good. We got a taxi into San Sebastian in the evening and that was about 12 euros each way. I would recommend this hotel.

Estuve alojado una noche del domingo 11 de agosto en el hotel río bidasoa. Comentar que la habitación es muy pequeña para ser un hotel de 4 estrellas. En cambio el baño estaba muy bien. Personalmente diría que es más grande el baño que la habitación. La ventana de la habitación también era muy pequeña por lo que entra poca luz natural. Abajo tiene un bar-cafetería bastante cómodo,con unos grandes sofás y un gran televisión. El desayuno es bastante correcto,hay una gran variedad y esta bastante bien de precio. Por último el tema de parking es bastante incomodo ya que es bastante pequeño e incomodo ya que tienes que reservar previamente antes de llegar al hotel. Aparte el precio que te cobran es bastante caro. En conclusion el hotel tiene aspectos que tendría que mejorar como el tema de las habitaciones que son muy pequeñas y poco cómodas así como el tema del parking también demasiado pequeño y caro. Y como aspectos positivos tienen un gran bar-cafeteria muy cómodo para tomar algo y también la opción de bañarse en la piscina. También el desayuno es muy correcto calidad-precio

Was very concerned having seen the bad reviews on here, especially as travelling with small children. However we were quite impressed and left happy. The location is great, with a regular air conditioned bus every 20 mins. The staff were very friendly, and the facilities were all new. The swimming pool was good, and the bar / restaurant. The busy road is closed off by a newish fence so wasn’t concerned about the children’s safety. My only negatives were that the pitches were very small, could just fit our caravan and awning on, but there is a car park just across the road (less than 1 minutes walk). The other negative was the cockerel that started about 3am, however if we turned our fans on in caravan this would cover the noise up. In summary, we would definitely stay here again, San Sebastián was amazing and felt like Rio de Janerio, spot on beaches and good surf, the kids played all day. Because the site is so close you have to expect it to have small pitches, and they can’t help it if neighbours keep animals. I think a lot of the buildings seemed to be recently refurbished too, it was all good.
