Gyeongju Hotels with Swimming Pools

The cleaning is not that good. Dust balls are rolling around on the bed shelf, and they are still there for 3 days from the time you check in until the time you check out. There is a swimming pool, so I do not recommend going there to rest since the kids run around a lot. I wonder who came up with the hotel structure design. If you want to go for a walk on the lake, you have to get off the elevator on the 1st floor and go down the stairs one floor, or go across to the restaurant on the B1 floor (it is blocked, so it is practically impossible), or go around the building on the 1st floor. The structure makes it difficult for the elderly, those using strollers or wheelchairs, or those with impaired legs to even walk on the lake. The fitness center on the B2 floor has a lot of good equipment, but it is only accessible by stairs, so it is difficult for the elderly to go up and down the stairs. To be honest, the fitness center is very good compared to other hotels. They even have a trainer. Of course, you have to pay a fee for the session. If you lose your card key, it is 5,000 won.

I went to Busan and had some vacation time left, so I suddenly went to Gyeongju. But I won't go to Busan anymore... This place is so so so nice.. I fell in love with Gyeongju and the accommodation. First of all, when I went to the front desk, I was impressed by the free upgrade to the ocean view when I signed up for Best Western membership, and the view was also great. If you apply for breakfast in advance, it's 18,000 won per person. It's just a breakfast buffet. It's delicious. The downside is that the air conditioner blows directly onto the bed.. I think there was a wind visor, but why did it disappear? + There's no internet TV. The hotel staff are v friendly and helpful. The breakfast options are superb. Hotel is also v spacious and my room view is amazing. It's on 10min walk to gyeongju world. I will definitely come back again if I can.

The location is good if you go to Bomun Complex. I think a car is essential when traveling to Gyeongju. You can cook easily and there is a BBQ in the basement. You need to bring all kinds of supplies, such as a toothbrush. There were 3 people staying for 2 nights, but there were only four towels at first, and they didn't provide them unless I ordered more. That was a bit uncomfortable.

I stayed at the Commodore Hotel from May 7th to May 9th 2019on a trip to South Korea with a French group of nineteen people from Arts et Vie; being single I paid quite a large supplement to have a single room ,which I don't regret at all; my room was very large, very clean with all the necessary amenities;the bathroom was perfect ;the staff at the reception was very nice and helpful with sending photos on my smartphone to my family in France; i could change French euros to korean wons at a very good rate; yhe breakfast was delicious with a lot of choice:I really enjoyed the different kind of salads with the kiwi sauce! and the seaw****! Ienyoyed the cosy ,a little outdated atmosphere of the lobby and listening to the Philippine guitarist and singer while sipping a glass of chile wine at the cafe in thelobby .The surroundings of the hotel are great :it's so relaxing walking on the illuminated paths around the lake at sunsetlistening to music among Korean families enjoying the evening out; My only regret is that the pool was closed ,but I swam in Busan main beach 2 days later! The Kolon is situated outside of Gyeongju so if you don’t have a car a taxi is necessary. We had a car and drove into town in the evening to eat. It’s a large hotel in need of a bit of tlc now but our room was ok. Breakfast buffet was small but edible; staff helpful.

It was located in an appropriate location in downtown Gyeongju, the surrounding scenery was very nice, and there were no inconveniences at all during the stay, so I was very satisfied.

Location Friendliness Cleanliness Swimming pool Weather Everything was good. It was raining, but suddenly it stopped and the sunlight, clouds, and sky matched the hotel's exterior well. The hotel felt like a tourist hotel in Jeju Island, and it was great.

The room was very clean and bright. The people at the pension were kind and I felt comfortable staying there. It was easy to spend time as it had all the necessary cooking utensils. It was comfortable and I didn't have to worry about noise at all! I didn't use it this time, but there seems to be a BBQ area, so I'd like to try it next time.

+ Our host was very friendly and helpful, he drove us to the bus stop as the pension is a bit far from everything. The pension itself is cosy, small and the room we got was big with a kitchen and terasse included. - It's far away from everything, so a car is really recommended. If like us you don't have one and came by train or bus, then it's a bit harder to visit the region.
