GGuest UserKudos to the cleaning staff on the 15th floor during Chinese New Year. The front desk, which is supposed to be the hotel's face, was a letdown. We checked in at the left counter using Hong Kong IDs, and after we were done, they asked if we needed help with our luggage. We had elderly and children with us, but there wasn't a single word of greeting. Breakfast was up to four-star standards; not a huge variety, but good quality. The lounge on the 5th floor was very average. They had red and white wine, but you had to ask the staff for beer.

GGuest UserChoosing Sawmill was absolutely the right decision! It's a standalone building, with separate floors for men and women, and you need a key card to access them. The staff at the front desk were very patient during check-in and explained everything. You can get laundry detergent and earplugs from the reception. They also offer luggage storage, and the lockers are free for up to 8 hours. The beds have privacy curtains, so you can create your own little space. The bathrooms are equipped with hair dryers, and they even thoughtfully remind you of the usage times so as not to disturb others late at night. The common area on the second floor is great for working, and you can occasionally look out at the big trees outside the window to relax. Overall, it's excellent. I'll definitely choose Sawmill again on my next visit!

Check-in Experience
We arrived early at around 6 AM due to the difficulty of booking train tickets during the holiday season. Although check-in was at 3 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check-in for an additional fee.
Accommodation
We stayed in two types of rooms during our visit:
Single Room - Spacious and located in a peaceful, quiet area of the property.
RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games.
**Ratings**
Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.
Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities.
Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout.
Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days.
**Things to Consider**
It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center.
If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include:
- ATV rides
- Fishing area
- Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter)
- Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry)
- Train ride (30 RMB)
The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car.
**Challenges We Faced**
My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available.
However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated.

XXiandanchaorenbaodaxiandanFirst off, the location is excellent. You can easily get there from Metro Line 2, Shilu Station, Exit 12. Just go straight, then turn right, and you'll see a mochi vendor at the entrance. Take the elevator up to the 7th floor for check-in. The hotel itself can be a little tricky to find, though.
The shopping mall right behind the subway exit is MixC World, which is super close. Shantang Street and Guanqian Street are also nearby, which is very convenient for tourists. If you take a taxi, it's only about a ten-minute ride.
Overall, the hotel environment is pretty good. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the sanitation is generally clean. The room is very soundproof, but it does feel a bit stuffy since there's no window. I'm not sure if I didn't use the TV correctly or what, but when I tried to cast, it would inexplicably jump to other videos after a while 🤔. If you like this Japanese-style aesthetic, it's worth a stay.

The service was also incredibly attentive; the owner tried their best to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommend! And since it wasn't peak season, the room rate was quite reasonable too.

GGuest UserMy friends and I came here for a relaxing vacation, and it was a fantastic experience. In the mornings, I enjoyed a refreshing walk along the lake. During the day, my companions and I played ball on the sports field, passing the time pleasantly. The guest room had an excellent view, and the balcony offered a superb sightseeing experience. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too hard – ensuring I slept very well. The evening activities organized by the G.O. were relaxed and fun, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The facilities were comprehensive, and the overall environment was quiet and elegant. Angel Raina provided professional and attentive service. It was a brief escape from daily琐碎, and I had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location right on Guanqian Street makes it super convenient to get around. The front desk staff were all so dedicated and enthusiastic, providing excellent service. The hotel is well-equipped with facilities, including laundry and drying machines. Our room was clean and quiet, with smart controls which made things very convenient. The housekeeping staff always greeted us warmly. Deliveries from outside are brought right to your door by a cute little robot, which is a great touch. There's also a beautifully decorated small terrace on the 6th floor that's worth checking out.

JJiafeibushimao～miaoLocation📍The hotel is right at the entrance of Shajiabang Scenic Area. It belongs to Huazhu Club with the Huajianting next door. The two share a courtyard. The children's playground of Manxinfu is also in the Huajianting next door. There is another Huazhu Club in the scenic area with a better price.
Service: Smooth check-in, quick response, and children's toiletries and slippers are provided
Facilities: The meal provided by the package is rich in variety. Coffee and bread coupons were given although they were not used. The family package in the package has a separate group purchase of 298, which tastes good. Breakfast is until 10 o'clock on weekends, with many choices and few Western styles.
Let me talk about the points that I don't agree with:
The fruit platter written in the 298 family package in the package was originally prepared to be packed, but the waiter asked if there were only 4 slices of watermelon. Haha, this platter...
If you book a calendar room directly, you can upgrade the room, check out late, give souvenirs, and send bird watching coupons. There are none of them redeemed with group purchases. Bird watching coupons need to be bought by yourself for 50 per person😓

GGuest UserThe service at the hotel was excellent, they were polite and very helpful. Any questions that you asked, they answered without hesitation. Overall the staff, were the best if I have to compare with other big and small hotels that I have been to. My friend and I booked the hotel together. The rooms were very very nice. We loved them. It was easy to travel around the resort, they have golf carts that can take you around the resort. So many activities to do there. You need to speak a little bit of Chinese though. But in case you don’t they will find someone to help you there.
The hotel package we took included the hot springs, spar and breakfast. It was worth it.
The springs are the best. There is also an infinity pool. The people there are very helpful, great service. It was easy to spot two foreigners but they treated us with so much kindness, especially the man and woman at the fish spring and the little cafe there names: 张浩川, 张刘纪 and 彭玉琴.
So Hentique hotels and resort is huge. The area and the activities you can do there are plenty. You can get on a helicopter(480rmb), boat(272rmb) it includes going to the islands and mountain hiking, horse riding and many more. You just have to come with a good budget. Breakfast is at the big hotel that has a great view of the lake.
Hentique pinecone has different restaurants around, the food is between 100 -300 per person. I suggest you bring snacks because there aren’t any shops close by. The big hotel has a shop where you can buy snacks for a price, and an all day restaurant. We ended up moving from hentique pinecone hotel to the big hotel but paid a little bit more and was worth every penny. The hotel really good, with a nice view, the manager on duty that day August 16th 2023 was the best manager, I forgot his name. His English was very very good. He answered all questions and helped us transfer from 松果 to the big hotel.
Having being in China for a long time, this was the best trip ever, with the best service. We will surely go back to this place.
