Court Garden Hotel - Ecodesigned

We stayed in The Hague for three nights and were very happy with the Court Garden Hotel. It is not right in the centre, but close to the International Court of Justice. Everything is easily accessible by tram, both the centre and the beach in Scheveningen. Even though the hotel is on a main road, the area is quiet and relaxed. Not far away is a street with several cafés and bars. We received a friendly welcome in the hotel itself, and the fresh and modern interior was a surprise compared to the rather sober facade. The friendly and freshly decorated lounge area, where you can also get free coffee and biscuits, is particularly appealing. And the room left nothing to be desired either: enough space, a comfortable bed and an attractive design. We didn't find any problems and would recommend the Court Garden Hotel without reservation.

The hotel is located on a larger avenue, within easy reach of the city center and station. The Malieveld (for performances) is also easily accessible from here. When you arrive you stand in front of an automatic sliding door, which does NOT open automatically. You have to ring the bell so that the reception can let you in (or check in online and enter with the digital key). For the rest of your stay you can open the door with your card or via the digital key on your smartphone. Good points: *location *digital key is handy and gives an extra safe feeling that if you forget your card in the room, you can still enter if you have your smartphone in your pocket (and who doesn't have that these days :) ) *eco hotel with attention to the towels ,... *free coffee machine (cappuccino, tea) in the common room until 10 p.m. *very good breakfast (also worth mentioning that pre-cut fruit is not all together in a fruit salad, but each separately so that you can take what you like and take into account (with or without allergies) Less good: * window in room can open, but opens onto a room that is closed with a window that cannot be opened (good for insulation in winter, but impractical in summer, there too no air conditioning (logical because of the eco approach) *not everyone speaks Dutch, so if you don't speak English this could cause problems *no refrigerator in the room (also eco part I assume, but still useful) Tip for breakfast : don't be shy to ask for things that are empty, you will be happy to help, but otherwise it can sometimes take a long time for something to be replenished if you don't ask for it Tip: breakfast is in waves, wave between 8:30 am and 9:15 am is usually the busiest

After a previous positive experience, we booked again for 2 days. Nice clean room, good beds and shower. Safe, closed parking and good WiFi. Pleasant hospitable reception. Good and service minded staff. Unfortunately, some guests do not understand that smoking is prohibited, even if there is no receptionist for a while.

Small charming hotel, small rooms but clean. The staff were both at reception and at breakfast (excellent by the way) very friendly and friendly. The only downside is the price of parking. But to recommend. The proximity even on foot to the city center is also an asset.

Average, practical. The location in particular is excellent compared to the center of The Hague and embassies. Price-quality is ok. Breakfast is average, no fresh rolls, but baked goods. Pre-packed sweet sandwich spread. Well, scrambled eggs.
