If you take the tram from Hakodate Station to Goryokaku Koenmae Station, it is a hotel almost in front of you. The bus stop of the ”Tobikko” bus to the airport is also nearby. The size of the room and the type of amenities were sufficient. Personally, it was convenient to have pajamas. It was in the room even with the charger and cable of the PC and the smartphone, so it will be helpful when you forget it. Picked this hotel a it was very close to the station and so easy to get to while dragging bags. Also very convenient for the central Hakodate facilities and shops. The hotel was typical of city centre, budget types i.e. rooms on the smaller side, but the service, cleanliness and value for money can't be faulted plus there was a very reasonable free breakfast. Wouldn't hesitate to use agin if back in Hakodate.

One of the favourites hotel stay in Hokkaido for our family! The hotel is small but very neat and clean. We are a family of 5 and we loved the layout and the modern design of the room. The staff were very friendly. We managed to choose one of the shops at the seafood market for our breakfast. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends.

It was easy to check in immediately after arriving because it was easy to arrive in the morning city by 2 minutes walk from JR Hakodate Station. There are many restaurants around and it is convenient during your stay. Personally, there are reasonable Hakodate gourmet shops such as Rappi, Hasest, and 500 yen bowls, and it seems that there is no problem even if you stay for about １ weeks. It is within walking distance to the center of sightseeing, and I think that you can go around enough in half a day except for meals. I was happy with ”squid salty” for breakfast.

We stayed at Century Marina for our first night in Hokkaido and originally chose it for its proximity to most of the sites we wanted to see in Hakodate. It's just a few minute walk from the train station with plenty of sidewalks so pulling our suitcases was no issue. The hotel also has a large parking lot if you choose to drive. It's also just a few minute walk from the warehouse district and the older area up the hill where a lot of historical embassies and churches are. The hotel's breakfast buffet is an experience itself with an extensive spread of both Japanese and Western food options. You will reserve a time slot when checking in, but even then you should expect a 10-20 minute wait in the morning to get your table, so its best to go up before your reserved time. This hotel also has one of the best rooftop onsen I've seen, with wonderful views of the whole marina and hill. When booking I didn't realize there was a hot springs so this was a nice surprise. Our room was right next to the elevator but very quiet and clean. This is a newer hotel too so everything felt very fresh and well-maintained. We checked in using Japanese, but the hotel has check-in info packets and signs in English so this is a good option for non-Japanese speaking guests as well.

I used it for the first time. A luxury hotel, breakfast is a special mention! We chose Japanese food in Azeria for the first night １ and Matsumae for the second night. At the buffet, there was a heap of salmon roe that I had never seen before, and I was able to make a super gorgeous seafood bowl, which was really amazing. ２ Matsumae on the night was also a very nice set, and I chose the salmon roe set, but this is also super satisfying. My friend was Hitsumabushi set, which looked very delicious! The room was large and well maintained, and it was good because it had a long-established style plus modern functionality.

It is a big hotel in Hakodate residential area. The nearest stop is Matsukaze CHO and the bus stop is Omori Cho. It is located on the east side of Hakodate station and Hakodate City Hall, and it is not far away, but it is not very busy because it is in the residential area. There is also a Family Mart nearby, and there are restaurants if you go to the station, but it is a bit inconvenient to walk to the tourist spot. I think there is no problem if I rent a bicycle for free because I rent a bicycle. There is a large parking lot on the north side of the hotel and it is parked for free, so I think there is no problem for sightseeing by car. It was a quite big hotel and I was traveling alone but I could use a twin room. Amenities were all available and there was a refrigerator in the room. The unit bus facilities were a bit old, but they were able to use it without any problems. There is also a welcome drink beside the lobby, and there is a cartoon shelf in the back and you can read it freely. The special note is the night crying soba service. It is limited to 10:00 ～ 12:00 at night, but there is a service that can be eaten freely by making salt ramen. Self service, but the ingredients are also served with charshoe, menma, corn, onion and cheeks, and you can put them as much as you like. There were many people who were used quite a lot. The staff and the response were kind, and if you go to Hakodate again, it is a hotel that I want to use again.

What an amazing hotel HakoBA Hakodate is. It is located in the old Fuji Bank building which gives it a unique character. They have done an amazing job updating the interior making it look modern yet still letting the character of the building shine through, awesome! Staff at reception were super friendly and helped us with lots of recommendations, like food and drink, and helped us with the public transport 1-day pass which you can buy here. There's also a cool little shop in the reception area selling local gifts. The room was really nice and we were lucky they gave us a room on the top floor which meant the room had really high ceilings and amazing details on the ceiling. Bathroom was pretty large, very modern and clean. Location wise this hotel is perfect. It is a 20 minute walk from the station but well connected to other public transport like buses and the city tram system. Located in the middle of the redbrick warehouse area of Hakodate there's plenty of shopping and restaurants around. Ideal for exploring this amazing city. Highly recommend staying here!

(It was saved because the front desk was crowded) I went back to the room and had some time to have dinner, so I went to the hot springs, it seems that men and women are changing at night and in the morning, there is a pot bath on one side, The washroom is separated independently and it feels a little narrow. The hot spring has a wide open feeling, but the indoor bath smelled of chlorine (maybe because of my feelings). Water, hass cup juice, and ice cream were placed free of charge at the bath, so I got ice cream (I was warned that there were a lot of people bringing back to the room). Dinner was late, but the food was insufficient There was no such thing as doing it, but there was a time limit of 90 minutes after entering. Sushi, steak, tempura, grilled food, sashimi, etc. were lined up (it seems that sashimi can be made into a seafood bowl). There are udon noodles and soba noodles, and the curry udon made from kake soba and curry udon was said to be curry from Gotoken, so I asked for it and ate it (it was delicious), and the craftsman held the sushi. There weren't many types, but it was delicious, the steak was small and cut, but it was soft and delicious, and the dessert was ice cream, cakes, fruits, etc. Ice cream made by myself in Thailand. I couldn't make it well, there were melons in the fruit, there weren't many kinds, but everything was delicious and there was a coffee machine at the exit of the dining hall where I could take it back to my room and drink it. Breakfast was early and there was a time limit of 60 minutes after entering in the morning, the standard breakfast was lined up, there were curry and ramen, the curry was seafood curry but it was delicious, I had salt ramen, but it was quite delicious and it was a good level to eat at the store. (Recommended) All the food I ate was delicious. The checkout ended at the door of the entrance. It was a little different from the previous hotels, such as hotel explanations and simplification of amenities, either it is close to a business hotel or there is no hotel that is not very large, so it can't be helped. I couldn't hear the sound of the next door and sometimes the sound of the plane passing nearby, I could use WiFi in the building, but the connection was not very good, there seems to be no cart to carry my luggage, so there are many luggage It can't change much for people. I recommend it to those who want to enjoy meals and hot springs.

What a wonderful experience! We were amazed at the selection of fresh seafood for breakfast and dinner. This is by far the best hotel seafood buffet for sure! The facilities are clean, rooms are spacious and tidy, overall ambience is great! Onsen is nice and relaxing. It is a bit far away from JR Hakodate station and does require you to either take taxi or bus. The hotel was offering a small hotel shuttle at the time which was nice however must reserve with the hotel before hand. The lady driving the shuttle bus was very nice and even gave us some traveling tips for the local area! Thank you! Special thanks to Mr. Yoshida-san at the front reception. He had noticed that one of the shuttle times we had reserved was not available that day, so he took extra effort to make sure we made it to the earlier shuttle time to make it back to the hotel. Thank you Yoshida-san! I really would like to come back and stay at Umi to Akari soon. It was a wonderful experience! Wish the best of success to this hotel!
