Hakoba Hakodate by the Share Hotels Reviews

Super super like this hostel. Just 4-5 stops by Tram from JR Hakodate Station, about 10-15mins rides. I stayed in Mix Dorm but very safe n quiet. For ladies Shower Room, only lady with access card can tap in. Inside ladies shower room got washing machine and Dryer. Like their Level 4 shared Kitchen which can cook, heat up and eat at this area. I get to know few other visitor friends from different country and have a nice chat. The L4 rooftop just outside of the shared kitchen, and viewing at the Red Brick Warehouse. There are 2 Lucky Pierrot Burger (Crown Burger) outlet just behind this hostel, one just behind hostel and another one located at Red brick Warehouse. They do have bicycle for renting. Hostel main Road are facing the famous photo spot Hachiman-Zaka Slope (八幡坂) and walking distance to the Mt Hakodate Ropeway station. The staff are very nice and can speak well English. Sure will stay here again if I revisit Hakodate in future.

Stayed here before my trip to Sapporo and also before my return trip to Tokyo. As mentioned in my previous reviews, this place is the best value for money hotel in Hakodate in my own opinion. You stay just opposite Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, and also near major tourist spots in Hakodate like the Old British Embassy and Mt Hakodate Ropeway. This will always be where I stay if I come to Hakodate so I highly recommend this hotel to solo travellers!

Nicely located by the wharf. Supermkt: 4 blocks. New bldg, custom built bunks. A/C, elevator, fabulous kitchen with deck overlooking the port on top floor.

Here’s another case where I originally only planned to stay one night but I enjoyed my stay here so much I extended a second night. Cool architecture, cozy dorm beds, and full kitchen with rooftop views made for a very enjoyable stay. Easy walk to the waterfront, dining, sightseeing and shopping all nearby. There’s even a cafe and bar attached if you just want to hunker down and get some remote work accomplished. Super clean hotel and courteous staff.

Ichiban. Location right in front of popular shops. Clean n new. However, not all staff could speak basic English and I walked so far for tram instead of bus.

Good hostel in Hakodate. Great location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Spacious. Good co-living space. Good kitchen. Good amenities and facilities. Escalator is a plus.

If you take the Shinkansen to Hakodate, you can transfer to the streetcar to this hotel. There is a rooftop and a shared kitchen on the top floor. If you buy a late night snack, you can eat downstairs

I like it very much. It is an unexpected youth hostel hotel. It is very fashionable and full of design. The only flaw is that you have to walk up and down the stairs. It is one of my favorite youth hostels. I will not accept any rebuttal! Facilities: Open the door of the kitchen on the fourth floor, and you will see a large balcony with a view. It is super awesome. Hygiene: It is very clean and the bathroom has no smell. The dry and wet separation bathroom facilities of this hotel are the best configuration of the youth hostels I have stayed in. The space is very large. The shoe cabinet separates the odor. Environment: Convenient transportation, and there are scenic spots around. It is very beautiful. The room is large, the space is large, and the bed is also large. Service: The service is also very good 👍, and I especially praise that I don’t have to DIY the quilt cover and pillow cover by myself, which is rare in Japan.

The hotel is clean, and there is a tram station nearby. You can also walk to the ropeway station to see the night view of Mt. Hakodate. Since it is a dormitory, it may be noisy, but it is good for those traveling alone at a reasonable price. Korean travel guides are only available at the desk, so you have to ask for them.

The hotel is clean and in very good proportions. Next day I will come to use the service again.

It is far from the train station and very close to the scenic spots. It is quite convenient to walk to the hotel if it is not snowing. The kitchen is very clean and has all kinds of utensils. It is a perfect memory of Hokkaido.

The location of the hotel is very good as recommended online. It is quiet and comfortable. The breakfast is average. An ordinary Western breakfast. You can add juice and coffee at will.
