Conveniently located, about 5 minutes from Gora Station. You can go to museums and other places without needing a car. Although it is a members-only hotel, visitors are also welcome. The hotel staff are very friendly. There is only one room for guests with dogs, but the facilities for dogs are well-equipped and good.

The resort is very near to Gora station. Having read previous reviews here, we came prepared with small luggage. Thank goodness because our room was at the top level and there is no lift! The traditional Japanese room is huge and our family of 4 adults were able to spread out quite comfortably. The futon beds are very comfortable. The main attraction of this resort is the public bath. We’re so glad we can experience this unique Japanese culture right within the resort. We tried to go to a natural outdoor Onsen at other venues, but many of them are either fully booked or closed early. Most of the eateries and shops closed early in Hakone, by 4 or 5pm. The nearest convenience shop is a uphill walk some 7-10min away.

The location was good, with easy access to convenience stores (Lawson is about 10 minutes walk away and has a wide selection of products), trains, buses, etc. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. The bath (hot spring) temperature felt low depending on the time of day.
