The common space was large and nice. The quality of the hot springs was also very good, but as others have pointed out, there is no washing area in the open-air bath, which I would like to see improved. Also, there is a delicious ramen shop nearby and a photo shop with history.

I thought hotels and inns in Hakone were expensive, but I was able to find a reasonably priced inn and guesthouse. Even if you use public transportation, it is convenient because it is close to the bus stop. Convenience stores are also within walking distance. I wasn't familiar with the area, so I later found out that there are frequent buses along National Route 1, which was great for me since I don't have a car. Kagodoko is a so-called capsule hotel style, and the entrance is accessed with a security key. I was tired so I fell asleep, but the sound of this door opening and closing can be quite loud, so if you're interested, you might be concerned. There is 1 USB, 2 sockets, and a small security box in the room. People with large luggage such as suitcases seemed to leave it in the aisle. Other than sleeping in my own room, the basket floor was enough for me to take a bath and relax in the shared lounge and kitchen. Perhaps because we entered the hot springs early (6:00-7:00, 18:00-19:00), the hot springs were almost reserved for private use.The outdoor baths seemed to be more popular with foreigners, but the indoor baths were also nice and relaxing. It was warm in the morning and at night. The kitchen was self-service, and the staff cleaned and tidyed up frequently, making it a pleasant experience to use. I made coffee in the mill every day and had a relaxing time. The receptionist was kind and helpful. The interior design is Japanese-style, which would appeal to foreign tourists, and the people staying there were of various nationalities, making it feel like I was in a foreign country, which was refreshing. If you're used to staying in a hostel, it's natural to bring most things with you, but here they provided towels, toiletries, and drinks, so all you need is a toothbrush and a loungewear. I took the Hakone Tozan Railway to Kowakidani Station and walked about 15 minutes from there. Since the road is the main road, there were almost no sidewalks, so I think it would be best to go by bus. [Room] ・This time, I stayed in a dormitory's Kagodoko (cabin type). First of all, the room is very clean. The lighting is bright and I feel good. There are 2 power outlets and 1 USB dedicated power supply, and charging is also possible. There is also a 4-digit lockable valuables compartment inside the room. I am very grateful for this. You can feel secure just by putting your wallet here. Furthermore, to enter the dormitory space, you have to unlock the auto lock with the room key, so I think security is perfect. [Onsen] ・It was great. There are both open-air baths and indoor baths. The only disappointing thing is that there is a distance between the indoor bath and the open-air bath, so you have to wear clothes before moving. I thought, "Then, I should just use the open-air bath," but there is no washing area in the open-air bath. This was the only disappointment, but everything else was perfect. The open-air bath is a little hot and comfortable, and the indoor bath is lukewarm so you can use it forever. Both are kept clean and pretty clean. Depending on the time of day, you can have it all to yourself, so it was pretty good.・In addition, the dryer was a type with a strong air flow, so it is safe. In general, the hair dryers at hotels and inns have a weak airflow and don't dry your hair in the middle of the day. It is a gem that dries quickly. [Meals] ・Since this is a guest house, no meals are provided. However, the wonderful kitchen is open for free. Free coffee and tea. Free microwave and refrigerator. Tableware is also free. I thought it was the best facility for staying for a while on a trip and doing nomad work. There are about 10 restaurants nearby and a convenience store, so I don't think you'll have any trouble finding food. [Inside the building/lobby] ・Everywhere is clean and comfortable. Due to the location, it was a little difficult to walk up and down the stairs, but it would be nice to be able to climb up and down the stairs more than usual and get some exercise. 1F is the reception, B1 is the room, B2 is the kitchen and lounge, and B3 is the hot spring.・The toilet is shared, but it is well-cleaned and is also very clean. [Customer Service] ・Very friendly and pleasant. However, it is also nice to keep a sense of distance by not communicating more than necessary unless you go from here. [Others] ・The lounge was too nice. The tatami room has a counter and two kotatsu tables, and the floor lounge has a counter and about five table seats. From the counter, you can see the nature of Hakone in front of you. Every seat has a power supply, so it's perfect for nomad work. What's more, it has Free Wi-Fi, so it's nice to be able to work without worrying about the network or power supply. Of course, it is also possible to bring in what you have made in the kitchen and work while eating. I thought it was the perfect workspace. [Overall] ・Since it is a dormitory-style room, it is cheap. All facilities are clean and comfortable. The customer service is also friendly and the more you go, the more you will probably feel like at home. Power supply and network facilities are also perfect. In such a place, while starting up the PC and crackling, if I get tired, I will soak in the open-air bath, and if I get hungry, I will go to the neighborhood for a meal. I was surprised that such a perfect and wonderful space existed in Hakone. In my case, round-trip transportation from Tokyo and accommodation for two nights and three days totaled 14,000 yen. If anything, I would like to book all weekdays, stay overnight and completely work here. It was such a lovely place. It seems that there are regular rooms other than dormitories, so next time I would like to visit for a relaxing stay with my family.
