This time I stayed at Cuisongyuan for a total of two nights. Let me share my experience and give it as a reference for future bookers: (1) The layout of each room is different, each has its own characteristics, and has a private hot spring pool. Special attention should be paid to the duplex room - "Yu". There is no WIFI signal at all on the second floor, but it is normal on the first floor; (2) Except for the priced foreign wine, all other drinks in the small refrigerator in the room are free. Those with Sisley trial products in the room can use them for free; (3) The hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off service from "Kowakidani-Hotel". There are convenience stores not far ahead and behind the hotel entrance; (4) The public bathing area has an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, as well as a steam room. Cold drinks, beer, and mineral water are provided at the entrance; (5) Breakfast is available in both Japanese and Western styles, and dinner is kaiseki. The overall feeling is good. I give the hotel a thumbs up and will make a reservation in advance before the Spring Festival next year.

Haha a very pleasant stay here. Staff had extremely good service, private hot tub was why we chose this hotel. Food served was delicious too. The room is pricey but also comes with a few free gifts & some free drinks and snacks.

Chose this place for the private onsen and highly reviewed meals.
Meals are served in the central restaurant, will need to book meal timing for both breakfast and dinner as they serve over two rounds. Chose kaiseki dinner which felt like fine dining too.
The rooms are modern, with the private onsen on rustic balcony facing the forest. The hot onsen water runs continuously into the pool, which made me think it’s really from the mountains.
Do note the hotel is on the middle of a hill, so if driving, be prepared to drive along small windy roads to reach. When leaving, the hotel staff will even help to look out for oncoming cars and direct you to safely drive out of the hotel property onto the main road.
