The road works are a nightmare, but when getting to the reception, it was a swift and friendly check in from the receptionist Lorraine. Clean hotel premises and clean rooms aswell, fantastic shower. The food in brewers fayre was ok typical pub grub. Over all will stay again here.

Arrived 10 mins before official check in time and we're told to wait. Ok. Then when we could check in it was very slow. 12 mins just to check in so over 20 mins waiting in the reception area. Not a good start. We were pointed in the direction of our room which was an external room which was overlooking the canal which was nice. The room although a decent size was disappointing. Only a small hanging area for a few clothes with just 5 hangers and nowhere to put anything else so basically living out of the suitcase. I think the tea / coffee making table could be replaced with a chest of drawers which would be much better. There was only one chair between the 2 of us and a very uncomfortable chair it was. This could easily be replaced with a more comfortable one such as a tub chair. Preferably 2 as there is room. Sitting on the bed watching TV was very awkward as the bed is on wheels and kept sliding away from the wall when resting against the headboard. The bathroom was an adequate size but couldn't open the door fully as the toilet paper dispenser is mounted on the wall behind it. I would like to say it was quiet which it was through the day but on an evening and running through the night we were disturbed by the neighbours television which did affect our sleep. It's a shame because this hotel has a lovely setting with the canal just outside making for a lovely walk and the brewers fayre just yards away which is ideal for your food and drinks. But unfortunately the room was a bit of a let down on this occasion and I would be reluctant to go back. We have stayed in many premier inn hotels and have never been this uncomfortable.

We stayed during the Christmas / New year period. and not having stayed in the hotel we had high hopes and we were right, lovely and clean rexeption. we were greeted by an amazing staff Lorrine with a huge smile and friendly face. We asked about halifax and she told us nice places to go to which was lovely, after that we asked if could have a downstairs rooms as i have mobility issues and she did that with no prevail. Lovely asset to have in the hotel. the next morning was another friendly face called Alizsa and she was also very welcoming and lovely We got to our room and it was lovely, nice and spacious. Very clean but one thing that could improve is they should put more coffees and milks etc as clearly not enough lovely place and quiet. Will definitely go back again in the future.

Friendly efficient check in. Good room with parking directly outside, it's more of a motel. Warning - there are major roadworks just outside so if you want to walk anywhere you have to find away across a busy road with no pavement. Also you can only access the hotel when heading towards the town and the entrance is difficult to find (it's opposite a Shell petrol station). Other than the roadworks the place was good for my needs.

Very clean, comfortable and good value for money. The breakfast was excellent but the evening meal next door was not good. I mentioned this to the manager but was told that the curry I had was their best seller!

Stayed at premier Inn Halifax south on the 10th December for one night. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful check in was quick. There was a selection of items in the reception area for you to help yourself too to take to your room for hot drinks. Our room was very nice good size. Big bed comfy. Very clean. Kettle. Hot drink items and biscuits. Hairdryer. Wardrobe. Plenty of sockets to charge phones. Nice clean bathroom with plenty of nice fluffy towels. The shower was great water hot. Hand wash and shower gel provided. Breakfast next morning at the watermill brewers fayre pub next door. Very nice large pub. Plenty of choice. Cereals fruit yoghurts pastries croissants. Crumpets muffins toast. Butter jams marmalade. Tea coffee fruit juice. You can have a full English or whatever breakfast you prefer. Asked what type of eggs you wanted and offered black pudding was good and hot delicious. The hotel is in a nice quiet location right near the canalside so you have lovely views and can enjoy a nice walk. Enjoyable stay will return highly recommend. Mr & Mrs warren x

Staff in the hotel and adjacent restaurant were so friendly. Always chatty and helpful. Thank you Rooms had been refurbished in the last two years all now have a large shower instead of a bath - a great improvement. However the bathrooms were small; there was only one hook behind the door and a v small rail to hang towels for two people. Also there was no shaver charger which would normally be expected as standard Hanging space was limited and there were no shelves or drawers to put clothes from the suitcase. Premier inns are no longer Budget range, there are other good accommodation alternatives. Such corner cutting is not beneficial to the consideration of where to stay next time

Never disappointed staying in a Premier Inn. Brewers Fayre next door. Can’t knock it. Canal runs by so a pleasant walk onto a nearby lock , which has won awards for its appearance. Mac Donald’s across the road also.

The minute we walked through the door, we were greeted with a huge smile and a lively greeting from receptionist Lorraine. Asked us how we were, how our travels were etc. She seemed to really care about guests, genuine, friendly and helpful. We had a note chocolates when we got in the room- it was just all a fantastic touch that warmed our hearts. The roadworks are still a bit of a nightmare as it’s been on goin for 3 years we’ve been going to Halifax. but nothing we cannot not deal with Rooms are always immaculate and clean. We had a lovely walk by the canal. We stay here every few months, you’ll see us back again soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars.
