Does what it says on the tin, cheap and local to Huddersfield town centre, nice and clean and the staff are friendly and courteous. Stayed a while ago when there was a food festival in Huddersfield, had a good time and would definitely stay there again.

Pearl, the proprietor runs Kirk Lea on her own after her husband's heart attack and she does a great job. The room was lovely, clean & tidy though with a bit of dated decor.
Comfortable bed and the breakfast was top notch or should I say top nosh. Would definitely stay here again but the owner is looking to sell as Pearl is looking to move and quit running a b&b. An easy 8.5/10

On arrival at this hotel, it was found to be dirty and disgusting, to the point where we did not stay.

Amazing hospitality with great breakfast and relaxing stay. The hosts are super accommodating and very understanding along with providing top class amenities and standards. Holistic awesome experience!

Excellent Host . Excellent Breakfast. We were staying as we were attending a wedding at the registry office on Huddersfield Road. Great place and location . Nice bed and a king-size en suite too priced Excellent at £43 . Thank you for your help. In the help. A fantastic night sleep with blackout curtains . The bathroom light had a sensor in it handy for going to the toilet in the middle of the night ..

Pearl was lovely and so kind. The room was good size and kept neat and tidy. The breakfast was excellent and very generous quantity. Room was huge and comfortable, excellent cooked to order breakfast. Right opposite Calderdale Royal Infirmary Definitely recommend this hotel.

The host Pearl was absolutely lovely and did all she could for us, the room was clean, the bed was comfy the only thing I would say was the shower pressure isn’t amazing but we weren’t bothered because we loved staying here, breakfast was made to order and really really nice, made us want to come back again.

The guest house service was good. It was also easily reachable to Halifax city center. The price was in a good range and the guest house host was friendly. There was also a good breakfast in the morning.
