So when I asked the person walking, I was told that it was perfect. You can stop from ５ in the evening to the morning, but it seems impossible to stop at the yellow double line and in front of the person's house. There was a bar right next door (partly?) And there was a color 々 food shop nearby. Chinese, Indian, fish & chips. I think there were other steak shops such as venison. The backyard I saw from the room was also very peaceful and nice. If I had time, I wanted to take it slow. It was about 15 minutes by car to the ferry port to the Auckland Islands. A company called North Link? was running and there was a ３ flight a day.

Lovely stay in Helmsdale as part of our NC500 tour. We had the family room which was great for parents and children or (as in our case) parents travelling with an adult tag along daughter ;) Great location in Helmsdale which is a small but lovely town. The museum opposite is good with a nice shop and cafe. We were spoilt with amazing weather which showed Helmsdale and the hotel off in its best light! The harbour is lovely too. Pet friendly hotel which was great. Breakfast was varied and buffet style. Would recommend!
