The hotel is walking distance (5-6 walking minutes) from the U3-Haltestelle with which you can reach the most important points in Hamburg without stones. (Landing bridge, councillor, elb symphony,...). A very well driven street is located next to the hotel, but you don't see it in closed windows. The rooms are clean, light and large enough for a city stay. The bathroom is large enough. A place where you could put the bag (the bag) would be desirable Check-in is uncomplicated and even more complicated is check-out. The staff is friendly, careful and worked competent. Breakfast is OK. You get coffee, tea, water, apple or multivitamin juice. Moreover, several bread varieties, eggs, fruit, butter and margarine as well as various breads from picant to sweet. But don't expect for € 10.50 that there is salmon or sausage, as well as mirror or rhetoric with spice. But you are yourself guilty if you don't find anything here. It's all there. Only a tablet edition I missed to slip the marmelade into the eating cups. I found the eating cups basically a good idea. But how often the cups were touched before me I don't know. The breads are also a little too high, children, smaller or older people have a little difficulty to reach the breads. Concluded: For a city visit, the hotel is an excellent choice. The U3 is a ring line that drives most overground. So you can already make first impressions of this impressive city. I can only recommend it further

Zum Preis ist das Hotel ganz okay. Das beste ist die Lage: etwa 5 Minuten zur S-Bahn und zur U-Bahn, etwa 100 m zu dem Supermarkt, der Drogerie, dem Apotheker und ganz viele Restaurants (z.B. vietnamesisches, persisches, libanesisches, türkisches) Aber bestimmt ist das Hotel nicht perfekt. Der Schreibtisch im Zimmer ist winzig und es fehlt ein Stuhl. Es gibt nur zwei Polsterhocker. So unbequem! Es gibt keinen Eisenbügel, Kaffeemacher oder Wasserkocher. Abends ist das Esszimmer bzw. Gemeinschaftraum geschlossen. Also keinen Platz für eine Besprechung oder außerhalb dem Zimmer zu arbeiten. Aber wenn man vorhat, im Zimmer nur zu schlafen und baden, dann geht es ganz gut.

We did one night stop on our way from Berlin to Billund, the hotel is far from the city center but that´s not our goal this time so the location was good for us. The room was clean and a note was left on the bedtable saying ”Welcome enjoy your stay” which was nice. Breakfast was crowded ( in elevators you can find rush hours of breakfast ) and the staff barely had control at some point. Breakfast had good variations for all of us. The parking lot was located in the basement and you could walk straight from there into an elevator. All in all, clean hotel with great staff and fine locationif you are not planning on spending alot of time in city center.

I was from 28.07.22 - 29.07.22 in the beautiful Intercityhotel Hamburg-Barmbek. We were welcomed by a quite young receptionist. She was very professional and especially friendly. You already felt right well. The wish in the 3. The floor was filled with a beautiful view. The beautifully furnished room has a pleasant size ( we had noticed the cheapest category). The bed was very comfortable and let us have beautiful dreams. There is even Sky Sport/Bundesliga for which men may be interested. Also a minibar with a free water bottle has jumped into our eyes. Very worth praising! Also there was a great rain shower! The only manko was the air conditioning, which was already set at -1 degree Celsius at the arrival. But it was then possible to adjust it individually. What we also felt positive is that there is a free ÖPNV ticket for each hotel guest including. This was very good because we went to Musical ,”Wicked” in the evening and we could conveniently drive to the stage theater new Flora. To the train station you need only a maximum of 2 minutes from the hotel. Generally, this is a very good central hotel. Let's come to the only critical points, and to breakfast, which is currently offered for €17 per person. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed at that point. Most because we paid together at first €51 for it. The breads were very hard. The spoon was dry and the stick appeared not to be made by itself. For this price it was not good at all. This was notified at the reception below and the criticism was also taken very seriously. The woman was also a young receptionist and also very friendly. After our question how to stay here now, we were friendlyly refunded a breakfast and the parking ticket. You can't really make meckers at the service. Es ist immer wieder ein Genuss in diesem Hotel zu wohnen, es hat alles zu bieten was wir uns von einem Hotel wünschen. Ausstattung, Größe der Zimmer, Design, Bar, Restaurant usw., wir würden dem Hotel glatt 5 Sterne geben aber dafür fehlt wahrscheinlich der Pool. So oder so wir kommen wieder, denn für uns ist das Best Western Plus Hotel Böttcherhof die Top-Adresse in Hamburg, Danke.

Mainly close to the son's dormitory, no refrigerator, no pen, no tea bag... The price is here, the interior is very simple and there is no pick. The location is very convenient. Within 5 minutes, the subway station, the bakery, and many supermarkets... The carpet is old, stains, and I don’t know why, the sheets look very white, but I have a urine smell when I go to sleep. Fortunately, the service is OK, the front desk is very polite.

Das Restaurant können wir nicht bewerten. Das Hotel bietet für einen fairen Preis eine sehr gute Leistung. Die Zimmer sind sauber und gepflegt wie das ganze Haus. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Alles ist frisch und die reichliche Auswahl von sehr guter Qualität. Hervorheben können wir die absolut freundliche Art aller Mitarbeiter in den 2 Tagen die wir hier gewesen sind. Man hat das Gefühl das hier jeder den Job gerne macht und offenbar das Betriebsklima passt. Parken ist problemlos auf dem geräumigen hoteleigenen Parkplatz möglich. Die Fahrt in die Innenstadt von HH ist ohne große Probleme möglich da ein Bus (zum Bahnhof Rahlstedt von dort mit dem Zug nach HH Hauptbahnhof) direkt vor dem Hotel hält, jedoch etwas kompliziert und dauert je nach Verbindung 30-60 Minuten. Fazit: hier würden wir jederzeit wieder übernachten.

The location is very convenient, go out is the U1 subway station. The staff is also very enthusiastic. But the only downside is that when the front desk communicates, I sometimes use English a little slow, and I will be slightly impatient.

All in all the hotel is quite good, unfortunately some shortcomings put it to average for us. Upon check in, was asked at the reception whether we were Covid vaccinated 2 or 3 times. The certificate itself was barely looked at and no QR code scan was done. During our 3 nights stay, this was correctly done when entering Restaurant for breakfast, so why not at first contact point Reception? Upon entering our room (336), immediately noticed that it was rather cold inside. Normal if a window is open and aircon set at lowest level… Noticed as well that some empty shopping paper bags and some used brochures had most probably been forgotten during cleaning. In fact the bags were rather big and could not be overseen… Worse however were 2 used plastic cups in the bathroom, once again impossible to oversee them! The room itself was quite ok if you do not consider some stains on carpet and chair, however the very small wardrobe is kind of bad joke. ONE small storage compartment for a double room and no other storage possibilities in the room is far from standard! Breakfast on Sunday morning was rather chaotic with a completely full restaurant. Why not attribute time slots in order to avoid such a situation? This is done in some hotels and is rather helpful. On the day of our departure, somebody knocked at our room door at 08.45 am. Quite astonished that it was the cleaning lady who asked at what time we would leave... Had never experienced such acting in any other hotel also considering the check-out time of 11.00 am

I traveled from Denmark, with a party of 9 people in June, for a short company getaway and spent 3 nights at Ibis Style Barmbek. Apart from the noise from the trains in the railroad just outside our windows, we really enjoyed our stay. Decent food, the reception was sweet - although they had a hard time understanding our needs because they didn’t speak English. And the location was near public transport, which was a plus. The only remark I had was concerning our invoice. I asked several times both by phone and in email, to get an invoice after paying our stay and every time I was told that they would send it, which they never did. That was very unprofessional. Would maybe stay here again, if I was traveling with a fluent German speaking friend and didn’t need the bill.
