Ventura Inn & Suites Hamilton Reviews

The hotel is about 2.5km from the Hamilton train station. We took a taxi from the train station, and the driver charged us NZD25. My booking confirmation said that the check out time was 11:00, but the hotel insisted it should be 10:00 which is fine. The booking confirmation clearly say that breakfast was free, but the hotel tried to charge 13 pp. Hamilton is a nice place which is close to Waitomo and Hobbiton.

Easy to communicate and check in. Breakfast service started nice and early meaning we could have it before heading off. Very comfortable rooms.

The check-in experience was quite bad. I highly doubt that the good reviews were based on fake reviews. 1. The hotel should be owned by Indians; the front desk and customer service staff are all Indians; half of the guests are Indians. There was a very unpleasant sour smell in the room and in the corridor. I suspected it was the so-called curry smell. 2. The room area is small. 3. The hardware facilities are very poor. There are no facilities for charging mobile phones on either side of the bed; the bathroom does not distinguish between wet and dry rooms; and the decoration is old. 4. The sanitary conditions are worrying. There are stains on the sofa and other places do not look clean. 5. The location is relatively remote. 6. The breakfast is quite basic. Such a hotel actually costs 1,000+ per night, which is totally not cost-effective. This is the worst experience in this trip to New Zealand, bar none.

The facilities are a bit old and not in line with the price. The seats are good.

The room was clean, suitable in size, convenient in location and cost-effective.

The property is clean and comfortable. Very comfortable bed. Very close to city for all dining options. Excellent parking.

Our experience was ruined by drunken party next room Staff eventually moved us to another room at 3 am Staff tried but to no avail Maybe rules need to be enforced Other guests must have also suffered

Great location, close to Hamilton central but nice and quiet. Staff friendly and helpful. Value for money, will be back!
