The only shame is that there's a paid parking fee, since 99% of guests arrive by car. Cleanliness is okay, but could be improved. Definitely an excellent option for visiting this part of the island."

"I stayed here for three nights and was quite satisfied with all the room facilities, except for the poor sound insulation. I could clearly hear the sound of car engines outside when I was sleeping in the middle of the night. Maybe it was because of the engines of the cars themselves, but it still caused my poor sleep quality. If you are someone who is sensitive to sound and want to stay here, you may want to consider it. In addition, on the afternoon of the second day of my stay, because there was a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my room door, the housekeeping staff should not have come in to clean. However, I don't know if one of the housekeeping staff didn't see the sign or for some other reason, but she swiped the card to open the door after knocking on the door three times (I didn't answer the door when she knocked because I was in the bathroom and couldn't respond). At first I thought it was the working habit of people here in New Zealand, but the more I thought about it, the weirder it got. So the next day I happened to meet another housekeeping staff and confirmed with her. She said that if there is a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the guest's door, they will not open the door to enter, but will only take photos for record. The housekeeping staff was also surprised that this happened, and apologized to me on behalf of the housekeeping staff who opened my door, and said that they would report this matter to their manager again, so apart from these two things, I was quite satisfied with this stay."

"The room was too small; there wasn't even a place to wash clothes, and the shower area was extremely cramped. The worst part was that before check-in, there seemed to be strong aromatherapy; the scent was overwhelming and almost like Indian curry. Even after three days of opening the windows, the smell persisted. In the communal kitchen, the plates were covered in small hairs despite being replaced several times."

"The Inn has a musty odor upon entering and continues throughout the house. At one time it was an amazing spot it seems from pictures we saw, but it needs lots of work inside and out. Breakfast was subpar, we were locked out when we returned from dinner and only later learned there was a code on a sticky note by our bed. I would not go back nor recommend."

"Great sized room (#17) at the front of one of the blocks. Room was bright and airy and spotlessly clean with daily service. Motel has a guest laundry with a washer and a dryer and a pool (didn't use but looked nice). Staff were friendly and accommodating. While the room has a kitchenette, the equipment is sparse - 1 frying pan and 1 small saucepan; no tin opener, only very small teacups, no chopping board and the smallest teatowels Ive ever seen. It was handy to be able to prepare.food though and Pak n Save is ＜5mins away with a dairy/milk bar ＜2mins away. Good spot if you're going to Waikato Stadium and a 10 min drive to town. Reception is not open for periods so you have to phone them if you need anything - no phone in the room but most people have mobiles"

The staff were friendly and responsive, which added to the positive experience. However, the facilities felt a bit outdated, and a bit of renovation could greatly enhance the overall comfort. Still, it was a decent choice for the price."
