Haoyi Hotel(Hangzhou West Lake Southern Song Yujie store)

Excellent place to stay while visiting Hangzhou. Walking distance to West lake, downstairs plenty of shops, coffee shops and restaurants and also a nice walking street leading to the drum tower. I would stay there again.

Friendly and helpful staffs. Good environment and easy to get around.

The location of this hotel is really good because it is very near the subway. The nearest subway is line 1 which is a direct line to the airport, railway east station and west lake. The room is generally clean and service staff are friendly and helpful. The soundproofing is not good and I was unlucky to have a neighbour that spoke so loudly at night. I called the front desk to assist as it was already 2 am and my neighbours were still talking non stop. The staff was very apologetic and immediately went to their room to speak to them. The soundproofing is not the best but they try their best to make things better so I’m happy with the service.

Room and toilet is very small, you could barely walk inside the room. Breakfast is pretty standard and basic but the bad part is the breakfast area is at B1 floor which smell horribly like sewer. You barely can enjoy breakfast in a place that smells like sewer. Worst thing that happened is the hotel introduced us to join a day tour from a travel company that they partnered with, the day tour company did not delivered what was promised in the package. We ended up taking a public bus to all the scenic area instead of arranging a tour bus for us, and worst still we have to pay for our own bus fare. The tour package clearly promised that they will bring us back to the hotel and that all transportation are provided with a private tour bus. They ended up leaving us at the last scenic area and asked us to take a normal public bus back to our hotel. The hotel shouldn’t partner with such irresponsible tour agency. So anyone that want to join a local tour, please be ware!
