We had a pleasant stay overall but I don’t think we will be returning again for the following reasons: small room size (for the price point they charge), toilet flush had to be fixed, drainage in the shower didn’t work properly, quality of pillows were just average, the check-in experience was hectic like at the airport (people everywhere), the service at the swimming pool and Le club was rather slow and not inspiring. This property markets itself as one of the most historical hotels in Vietnam which is true but when it comes to hospitality I’m afraid there is still a lot of room for improvement.

The hotel is located in the center of Hanoi, very historic and convenient. The staff speaks good English and is very welcoming. The breakfast is excellent. It is a very pleasant stay and I would recommend it to everyone.

If you are a hotel fan and are interested in history, you must check in to this legendary hotel when you come to Hanoi. Although the hotel has a history of more than 100 years, it is very well maintained. The basic room type is slightly smaller, but it is still very comfortable to stay. The hotel's breakfast and afternoon tea are both great. I recommend the hotel's buffet breakfast rice noodles, which really beat the Michelin rice noodles outside.

Everything was beyond my expectations, from the room to the service. I highly recommend this hotel if you want an amazing stay in Hanoi! Got a lot of sweet gestures with chocolate from the butler at night, cards, and flowers. Our stay in this hotel was the highlight of our trip in Hanoi and we witnessed the kindness of all the staff, well done to the management!
