I’ve been to Hanoi several times and I like to try new places to stay. From reading past reviews I thought this would be a good choice, but I was wrong! I happened to be in Hanoi during a very cold streak. The hotel has no heat and I was freezing the whole time there. The hot water in the shower only lasts about 2 minutes and then it quickly gets cool. Breakfast was a joke. The only person working at reception took me to another hotel three streets away to have a very poor quality breakfast. I didn’t even bother with their breakfast after the first morning.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and enjoyed the best experience. The extremely happy and enthusiastic staff always helps us. The manager spoke excellent English and was very helpful in assisting us. Breakfast always has many different dishes to try every morning. I really recommend staying at Lotus Boutique Hotel, very close to Hoan Kiem Lake and very convenient for traveling to tourist areas and restaurants in the Old Quarter.

The location is top notch, just off a very busy street at the beginning of a very quiet side road in the Old Quarters.
It is walking distance (at least for us walkers) to all sightseeing places and more.
Around the corner there are some amazing local eateries not to be missed, breakfast at the corner shop and the bao and fresh juice places.

We stayed in a room with balcony which was really great. Just some minor issues like ‘flooding’ of the bathroom after a shower coz of an unexplainable open gap in the glass partition and the issue of véry hot water from the shower, but that shouldn’t effect the 5* rating.
