Across the street is Hanoi Train Station. Can hear train passing in morning but not bad. Some local restaurants and a chain coffee shop nearby. Not much to see near. Walk 20 to 25 minutes to old quarter where the famous lake located. Many more restaurants and massages there. Weekend the whole area is blocked for walking. Beer walking street is small and so crowded. You have to say no to many restaurant staff to pass. It's safe. Nothing happened to me.

I chose this hotel because I wanted to take the unification train from Hanoi Station after checking out. The front desk staff were very friendly and I was able to stay there with peace of mind.
