Loved this hotel. Right next to ferry, so we stayed on Miyajima Island as late as we could, before heading to the ferry and hotel. Get off ferry and the hotel is about a 3 min walk. We had a great view of the sea. A little space inside rooms. Friendly staff. Own bathroom.

I went to Miyajima on a family trip and used it for the first time. This inn will respond as flexibly and pleasantly as possible to the wishes of the guests. For example, in our case this time, when we told our family in advance that there are people with bad legs, they can install a bed in a Japanese-style room, and change the basic dishes provided to each person's taste. Even if I was lost, I was able to make a flexible response and suggestion immediately, so I was able to spend a very comfortable time. The hot spring is in the basement, and it has an old-fashioned atmosphere with only a large bathtub １, and it is not so large, and the scenery is not good because it is in the basement. Compared to the hot spring resorts devised at this time, it may feel unsatisfactory, but it is clean and the temperature is around ４０ degrees, so it is ”good old” while taking a long bath. I felt that it was a place to enjoy. It was stated that the quality of the hot water was slightly salty and smooth, and it was pumped and boiled from the source. I was able to take a comfortable bath without being squeezed or dry even by families with weak skin. Unfortunately, there are no open-air baths or private baths, but some rooms have open-air baths with rooms, so I think you can choose according to your taste. What should be noted here is the wonderfulness of the food. The amount of meals varies or is insufficient depending on the course and price, which is often a big preparation at such a large inn, and the impression and quality of appearance are greatly different from the images on the site. Instead of having a sense of failure such as the dishes that were cold at the time of serving inn dishes, we were able to provide a wonderful dish of a more impressive level. This time we were in the room, and it was originally said that Masazen was the basic set, but ４ kind of seasonal course dishes (Masazen, delicious fish, delicious meat, delicious feast) with guidance on the site. I requested it at the stage of advance reservation and received everything with my family. There is no loss at all in every course, and the abundant ingredients unique to the land are carefully prepared, and all of them are very delicious, and the individual dishes requested by the order are prepared quickly. At the end, he made rice balls for dinner, which were full and could not be eaten, and he was able to provide a supreme time beyond the best. In addition, the breakfast at the dining hall I received the next morning was surprisingly luxurious with a large number of items, but the amount was gradually appropriate and very satisfying. The seasoning is natural, healthy, and exquisite taste adjustment and appropriate temperature, which does not rely on artificial taste operations such as umami seasonings, while protecting the gentle flavor that makes the best use of the goodness of fresh ingredients. Good. As other reviews, it was a facility that felt a little old, but it was a stable and safe facility, and there was no mistake. The view is good, but if it is on the 3rd floor in the ocean view room, there is a disappointment because the ceiling on the 2nd floor is about 10 meters in front of the room. When I told him at the front desk at check-in, ”This is ○○ (my name) booked at Trip.com,” the expression of the veteran female staff became a little steep. And if it is another hotel, he immediately finds my name from the guest list, saying ”Yes, ○○”, but he does not respond like that. ”First, please fill in your name here.” It felt as if I was told, ”I'm in trouble if I call my name, please write my name on this paper, that's how our hotel is doing.” (There may be a story that my feelings are damaged, but it was true that the expressions of the staff became steep). It was a little disappointing. The night cruise was good.

The location is very good, just a few minutes walk to the Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Mt. Misen Ropeway station. There is a free shuttle bus station right outside the hotel to go the ropeway station. You can see the Torii throughout the hotel window. At night when the Torii with lights on, the view is stunning! The indoor onsen is not big but it's ok for 10+ people at the same time, the outside onsen is small and can only occupies 4-5ppl. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and thoughtful. I was fully wet after the hiking to Mt. Mismen on the raining day, they helped me to dry all my shoes and coat. Happy to stay at Iwaso and will definitely stay again.

Near the pier, up a hill, the environment is quiet, the bathhouse is not big, and fortunately there are not many people. The breakfast is exquisite. Some of the waiters are from Taiwan, so communication is no problem. From the rooms on the sixth floor of the hotel, you can see the old ruins of Miyao Castle on the key mountain (the site of the Itsukushima Battle), and you can see the large torii gate from the side, and the view is acceptable.

After battling crowds in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima, Miyajima and the Hotel Miyajima Villa were a welcome respite. Indeed, we so enjoyed our stay that we added an additional night. Before and after the arrival and departure of day trippers from Hiroshima, we felt as though we had the island and its wild deer all to ourselves. The hotel is immaculate, ideally located (a few steps from the ferry and a short walk to the island's attractions) and staffed by incredibly helpful, friendly and energetic staff. A hearty breakfast got each day off to a solid start while our afternoon soaks in the top floor onsen were perfect for getting rid of kinks from a day of sightseeing.

Felt welcomed by the hotel staff, shared rooms have properly divided beds. Fully equiped with basic amenities such as shampoo, body gel, towels, lockers... The lounge was full of books to read (tourism books, novels, manga...) and is tastefully decorated. Family-friendly place. Close to the local train line that travels to Miyajimaguchi harbour (Ferry to the island) in barely 6 minutes. Great experience overall.

Although there was no mention on the official website, smoking is allowed on the terrace of the room. I don't like the smell of cigarettes, and this time I was traveling with my child, so when I found out that smoking was allowed, I thought about canceling, but it was already the time when a cancellation fee would be charged, so I gave up. When I was bathing in the open-air bath on the terrace, the smell of cigarette smoke from the neighboring room's terrace was indescribably disgusting. (The fact that you can smoke on the terrace should be clearly stated on your website, etc.) Luckily, the smell of cigarettes was only once, and after that I was able to enjoy the bath comfortably. The open-air bath in the room is very comfortable. The view of the sea during the daytime is also wonderful, but it was nice to take a bath in the middle of the night while looking at the stars. The public bath was good, but I was worried about the smell of the hot water, probably because of the circulation. I also enjoyed the food at the buffet. The live kitchen steak was delicious and the sashimi was fresh. There was an Onomichi ramen corner at night and an udon corner in the morning. The pajamas (black in-house wear) are only one size for adults and not for children, so I put on only the tops like a dress, but I think some people should bring their own. It seems that the number of yukata for children is small. I would like to stay again if there is no smoking on the terrace.

I arrived late on my arrival day and the staff told me they are closing the door 24.00 pm. It was quite a walk from the ferry terminal to the hotel (i guess about 20 min. walk with my luggage). Later i found out they have a free shuttle service -.- . Anyway staff at the reception and in the dining room were very nice and the room was ok. Everything clean as expected and a small Miyajima souvenir are waiting to be eaten^^. The bath area was small and good, as was the air in general on that island. After chek in you get a yukata and the key to your room. One thing i felt sorry about; Staff worked until 24.00pm, just to start working again at 5 a.m. .Thats not ok. As a result, an email i send earlier about changing my room was overseen. I am not mad about it, since i arrived late anyway. But for gods sake,let the staff at least get some rest between the shifts lol.
