Mansfield House Hotel

We enjoyed a lovely meal on a lovely evening at the Mansfield House Hotel. Haddock goujons to start choice of breaded or battered. I went for the breaded, which was very nice. Followed spaghetti carbonara, nicely presented and hot. Again very nice. Couldn't resist a pudding and the tiramisu was absolutely fabulous. As good as any we had in Rome. Great service a mist enjoyable experience

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Lovely food and amazing, friendly and helpful staff. Honestly we couldn’t fault anything. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff there. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and it was just a lovely, comfortable place to stay. We will definitely be back again.

Having stayed in this hotel with my husband as he was working in Hawick I can honestly say it was fantastic experience could not fault anything, snd made my stay great, nothing was a problem. I must say a big thank you to James and Matthew they were fantastic!! Food was lovely portion were very generous, I personally loved the bruschetta and breakfast omelette was a must! My husband loved the lamb shank! And steaks were lovely too I I cannot wait to return and spend another weekend there if ever need accommodation I highly recommend this hotel

Overall the place we ok for a one night stop over. Main issue was there was no kind of room service menu when we arrived after 9.30pm. With all shops, takeaways and restaurants closed locally at that time there was no way to eat and when a hotel is in a town where there is a lack of facilities its important that they have some kind of offering even if just a simple sandwich

Although we weren't staying at the Mansfield House Hotel , four of us attended a wedding at this venue on 4th November, and I want others to know of the excellent service afforded to us by the staff at this hotel. Upon our arrival at the hotel, although it was busy due to the arrival of other guests, nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff. We were greeted at the bar with a smile and a friendly " how can I help you" every time and drinks were served promptly and accurately. Great care had been taken in the setting up of the large function room where the wedding ceremony and reception took place. It was beautifully decorated and lighting and furnishings were just perfect. Whenever guests had to vacate that room for a short time so tables could be rearranged for the wedding meal and later, the evening party, guests were shown into another bar area which had all been cleaned up from use earlier in the event and again a more than able number of staff were on hand to greet and serve the guests quickly and efficiently. Everything just appeared seamless and well organised. The wedding meal was superb. It was obviously well prepared, freshly cooked and presented to us by staff who really cared and ensured that everyone had exactly what they had ordered. I even heard a guest ask if she could change what she had ordered for something different and that was done with no fuss and brought to the table with a smile. Put simply, the service offered by this hotel could not be faulted. Some of the staff appeared to be teenagers but they were smartly turned out, they obviously took pride in what they were doing and worked as though they had been doing it for years. In my opinion this hotel is the perfect venue for any private occasion. A first class venue with excellent facilities and food with staff who have a brilliant work ethic . Highly recommended.

We had our wedding reception here at the Mansfield House Hotel. From the first meeting to the reception Lynn, Matthew and team were just amazing. Nothing was ever a hassle, the effort they put in before, after and during the reception was 5 star. The food was amazing, drinks were great and all guests had a great time. We also stayed overnight after the reception. The room was massive and really lovely and the breakfast in the morning was freshly made and really yummy. We can’t wait to go back for an evening meal in the future to the restaurant. Thank you all at the Mansfield once again.

Went out to Mansfield hotel last night wee all had an amazing delicious meal . The Food and service excellent 👌. They didn't rush us when wee sat and chatted . Very reasonable priced to Thankyou and certainly be back

We had a great nights stay here. The staff were lovely, so helpful. The food was exceptional. Our evening meal & breakfast. Cosy wee room with a really comfy bed. The walk in shower with can head was good. The grounds are beautiful. We’ll definitely be back.

This hotel is a excellent place to stay we only went for one night but everything was perfect the restaurants 3 course meal was well worth it the steak and the gammon are amazing and there puddings are so moreish if we hadn't had three courses we could have ate more. The only down side to the rooms is the bed is on the hard side so didn't sleep great but it's different people's preferences as we've a softer bed at home. Also they allow pets in most places accept the dining room but they do allow pets in the bar, and that's where you can have your meals with your pet which is understandable. Also if you have a dog there's a little gap under the room to the door of the rooms so we put one of the covers under so our dog didn't see anyone walking past to there rooms. Staff are very good too Happy and very efficient and help you when you need anything. All in all we will be back soon hopefully for a longer stay.
