Austin Rise was booked by a friend and was such a rare find. Emma made us so welcome and it felt like ‘coming home’. Breakfast is absolutely laid on - there couldn’t have been a better selection. Will be back!

Excellent place to stay. We wanted to be close to family who live in the area. Could not have asked for better. Beverley (hostess) was delightful. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Room was clean and well-appointed. Would recommend it to others looking for a quiet place with engaging hostess. We particularly fell in love with the two cats - snowy and bobby. We’ll behaved but affectionate and curious.

A great place to stay. It's in a quiet, suburban part of Heidelberg. There's plenty of space to park in the street but it's also within easy walking distance of public transport to the city. The B & B is clean and very comfortable and the King Room, where we stayed, has its own separate lounge and bathroom and is a self contained area on the ground floor. The hostess, Beverley is a very friendly and obliging person but is never intrusive. She provided a lovely breakfast, with plenty of choice. The wifi code was readily available and there was always a strong signal. We'll happily return here and we'll recommend Austin Rise to anyone we know looking for accomodation in Melbourne.

I found Bev's hospitality to be exceptional! I saw her relate comfortably with a wide range of guests, who each felt welcome and at home. I love the proximity to the Yarra Cycling track and I was easily able to do a 20km ride before the impressive breakfast. The facilities are clean, work spots with lush greenery made my time of work and relaxing better than I could have imagined. I'd highly recommend it!

The experience was not what we expected. The photos appearing in google are misleading. It is located no near the city but in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The room that we booked for was actually booked twice. Had to prove that we paid for the room to another couple who came knocking at the door while we were inside. We paid a higher price which marketed a bigger bed but had to spend the night in a queen bed not enough. Eventhough the service provided by the staff is friendly and the room is satisfactorily clean it doesn't outweigh the bad experience we got. Not child friendly at all and couldn't even find a high chair for my one year old. Not recommended for a family/couple especially with a child who is looking to relax.
