An excellent weekend blessed by great weather. Helmsley is a vibrant town and the fact that you could sit out in the sun was a bonus. We chose the Dine & Unwind package which was perfect for us. The food in the restaurant was good both for breakfast and dinner and the staff were pleasant and characterful which isn't always the case. Would we stay again, yes.

Beautifully decorated contemporary country pub in the centre of Helmsley. We went for my birthday and if you take ID that proves your birth date you are entitled to your main and dessert free! Every course was delicious. The staff were a cut above and everything was perfect. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for in this instance but not mega expensive either. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay with spotless room, a great team with nothing too much bother. Fantastic food both evening meal and breakfast with vegetarian in party being particularly delighted with food!

I can’t recommend this place enough, I’m staying here with my partner and parents, the rooms, food are second to none, but the staff are exceptional, from booking the hotel to checking in and having a beautiful meal here, they have all been amazing. My father unfortunately has not been well, they went above and beyond to help us. We will definitely be back, thank you xxx

Feathers looks great. We were lured in one sunny afternoon on the promise of the outdoor courtyard dining. So a bit after 4, we went in, found our way to the courtyard and picked a couple of menus up on the way. Had a chat about how to pronounce ‘gyros’, and went to the bar to order. We had a great welcome, but were told no food til 5pm. No problem, we’ll have a drink outside and wait. Glass of Chilean Sauvignon blanc and pint of Diet Coke, £14.90. I thought it was a bit steep, but never mind. We fancied the gyros. 5 o clock and I head to the bar. Only to be told that a) they don’t serve food outside and b) they’re fully booked anyway. Would have been good to know this at 4, to avoid the overpriced wine and Diet Coke. Anyay, we left and went to the Royal Oak. Fab pub food, great value for money.

Our go to favourite stay when visiting Helmsley , always such friendly and helpful staff . Food is so good and rooms are extremely comfortable. I have stayed many times now and it gets a five star from me every time .
