"Deluxe room was clean but very small. Twin beds were inches apart from each other with no room to move further apart. Meals were only adequate, the main courses we had both chosen from the evening menu weren’t available, sold out by 7pm, so we had to select alternatives, which were less than inspiring. Altogether a rather disappointing experience"

"Took our Granddaughter to Helmsley for a pre return to school treat & stayed in 2 of the 3 Garden Cottages at Stilworth House. The rooms were lovely, cosy & spotlessly clean, with everything you would need including a small fridge which contained a lidded glass jug of water & the fresh milk for our tea/coffee. A plus for keeping our own drinks & chocolate chilled. Carol was great as the host & breakfast was fab & the home made jam & marmalade should be marketed !! A recently installed glass tank in the garden showing off the carp was a lovely & calmimg feature. Will definitely be back."
