We booked a last minute break, as when we stayed here 6 yrs ago we had a pool side suite and it was great. This time however would not recommend at all apart from the hot stone massage in the spa. When we entered the suite, the sofa bed was made up for one of our daughters and was blocking the entrance so we couldn’t get our other daughter in with her wheelchair (which they were notified about on booking). The z bed the first night was not fit for purpose, as it sunk so much that my disabled daughter could barely get up so we ended up putting the mattress on the floor as there wasn’t another one until the following day. There didn’t seem enough staff as the one receptionist had to respond to house keeping issues as well as room service. Dinner was overpriced for the quality, there are so many high quality restaurants in the village which I now wish we had gone to on the second night. Management did not seem concerned with our issues. Breakfast service less than average. We were served by what I assume was management. They did not listen to very basic needs and we were made to feel very uncomfortable when we asked for our very simple requests to be met (like please don’t over cook the toast! Not rocket science) Dinner was an absolute disaster, my wife has a limited diet so we were very specific on our request, of rare to medium cooked salmon with new potatoes with no butter. The first attempt was appalling the salmon was so over cooked it was a bit of a joke. We asked this to be replaced, which it was 15mins later in which time my meal had gone cold as I was not going to be so antisocial as to eat my dinner while my wife sat there uncomfortably with nothing to eat or the rest of the table had finished as she was only just starting. We spoke to a manager that evening who was most unhelpful. She knocked the value of the salmon off but not really so much as an apology. She said she would discuss with me the following morning and apart from taking our drinks order for breakfast in which she forgot the coffee for the table, we never saw her again. The one positive was the waitress on the first morning, now this young lady was running around with precision picking up after the pretentious senior staff. I wish I had taken her name as she made all the family feel at home and welcomed. Pool was nice and warm but a lot of maintenance is needed as tiles missing. Only one disabled parking bay, I was told by reception to park in a Tesla charging bay( I have a diesel). This in itself caused an interesting conversation with someone who needed a charger!!
