On the first night, there was no electricity, hot water or heating I have been told I’m getting a refund for that night. The room is dirty and small. The hotel is above a restaurant which plays music loud from 7am this music has a loud beat to it. The hotel is unmanned and entry is via electronic locks which are tempamental. There is a shower in the corner of the room which takes a while to warm up, and by the time you’ve showered the room is full of steam, leaving everything feeling damp. I will not return.

Oh dear god, what a shocker. Arrived in the dark but sign saying guesthouse entrance led to a creaky staircase held together with no smoking signs. So headed round back to look for a pub entrance. Took a huge fall over the unmarked and unlit step onto the boarded seating area. Absolute H&S nightmare. Very lucky not to break something but knee, thigh and shoulder are very sore next day. Greeted by an empty restaurant the young lad took me up to the room. He was OK and did his job well, think he was surprised someone was actually staying. The room smelt, mould everywhere some just painted over, spiders in corners, bugs inside bed under covers, huge unblinded skylight above bed so well.lit at dawn byt useless if you drop into bed at 4am after night working, no towels so had to use a pillow case, wasnt going to try and find someone at 8am, shower delivered by the Beirut second hand bathroom company, no shower curtain so water just ran into carpet and floor, that's if you could switch it on. I was truly scared of being electrocuted as I repeatedly bashed the electric ahower button to get it yo stay on. Holes in the walls like it's just been shelled. So many other faults. Thankfully took note that there was a huge fire extinguisher in the bathroom which could be used to through through the window and escape with if there was a fire. Been to some dives but this is right up there with the best.

The photos on the booking site looked beautiful. The description of the place sounded excellent. That is as far as the positives go. On arrival, the car park at the back of the restaurant (yes, RESTAURANT!!!) appeared to resemble a quarry junkyard. I entered the premises and told a staff member that I had a reservation for the night. She wanted to know what table I wanted to sit at. Excuse me!!!!!! When I explained that it was for accommodation she went off to serve some of the diners whose meals were ready. Not a good start. After waiting for about five minutes I asked another staff member if she could help me to check in. Finally some action. I was led upstairs and shown to my room. The smell was deplorable. Stale and musty. Even my dogs have better sleeping conditions. The carpet was dirty and heavily stained. Yes, there was an electric kettle and three, yes, THREE straws of instant coffee. A paper cup, no sugar, no spoon and no milk or milk substitute. There is NO way that this establishment can be considered as anything above one star, and even that is being generous. The only positive that I can give is the fact that the windows are double-glazed, which kept out the traffic noise.

This place should not be doing business. I was in room 4. Carpet covered in stains (literally didn't want to take my shoes off to get my socks dirty). The room stank of dirty feet. Fridge in room unplugged with open milk and a pot of yoghurt in it. 3 dirty plates under the bed. Dirty, stained bed. blood stains and other stains on duvet cover. Had someone checked out and they hadn't cleaned the room? But even if the room had been cleaned it would still have stank and the carpet would still have been covered in stains. On the plus side, I did have a clean towel and the staff were very nice, but how can nice people allow guests to come into a place like that? Didn't sleep at all. Genuinely traumatising experience. Will write to council too.
