Room dirty.
Dusty floors and skirting.
The walls had been painted around the TV and headboard. Cracks in the ceiling which had been painted over. Stains on the throw on the bed possibly blood?

A massive thank you to the staff working the restaurant last Friday evening - they went above and beyond! We had a very large group of people from the Cathedral volunteer gardeners and had originally booked tables at another restaurant close by. It was a celebratory meal, and that that other restaurant messed up our booking brutally (made a few weeks beforehand and reconfirmed earlier in the week). So we were wandering along Broad Street like lost souls, almost ready to call it quits, when the Green Dragon staff welcomed 15 of us in with open arms, found us all a seat and served us some lovely meals. They were unfailingly cheerful and kind, efficient and patient. Our grateful thanks and credit where credit's due. Outstanding.

No sleep. Our room is currently over 80 degrees & has been since yesterday afternoon. If we had had any idea that was going to continue we’d have left. We didn’t even try to sleep until after 1am. It’s now 5 am, no onsite reception or coffee to be found, & still no sleep. Very cranky customer.

A decent hotel for a short stay. The room was a like a sauna when I got to it and was amazed to find a small electric heater plugged in and switched on. This made the room so hot and stuffy that I had to open a window - far from environmentally friendly!
Otherwise - the bathroom was a bit tired but the rest of the room was ok.
Breakfast was decent and staff accommodated my requests for something not on the usual menu.

This hotel has so much potential, it’s a beautiful building the downstairs areas are lovely, we loved the cocktail bar it was very ambient. The rooms are what let’s it down, they are very dated and the walls are paper thin, we heard someone above come back around 3am and have a phone call with someone that he was shouting at, followed by the next morning the room next door had a blazing row and we heard it word for word. However I have to say the bed was very comfy. The bathroom wasn’t the best either, not sure what the flooring is mixture between carpet and lino but it didn’t look overly clean as there were stains around the toilet area and hairs on the tiles in the shower/bath. With a bit of a refurb and maintenance it could be a lovely property.

3 years ago we went for our 1st date and food was amazing, but now they must have changed Chef because we colame back 3 years later and food was shoking l. Really bad. Overpriced pub food. Chips were not cooked well with disappointing taste. Asked for medium rare steak and was served with very rare steak, not to mention the cleanliness. We had bright pink lipstick on my wife's glass.

Heating not working electric rad in room, old fashioned shower over bath hard to access.
Dark green paint on every damn wall no photos or prints on walls just boring
Uncomfortable chairs. Security lights kept coming on in the night lit the windows brightly!
All in all not relaxing place! And small incorrect loo seat fitted far that was too small for the pan! A poor replacement not to a high standard.?this place is run down.

Excellently located hotel, car park close by and convenient for my business meeting.
I didn't have breakfast but the restaurant served good food in the evening.
