Disappointing Experience at This Overpriced Beach Hotel My stay at this beachfront motel was extremely disappointing, especially given the premium price of $600 per night in July. The accommodations were more akin to a budget motel than a luxury beach hotel. Upon arrival, we found sand on the floors and in the beds, despite not having visited the beach yet. This indicated that the room had not been properly cleaned before our check-in. Furthermore, the sheets had visible stains, and the supposedly "freshly changed" pillowcases were equally dirty. The air conditioning was another major letdown. The in-wall units were broken and replaced by a large, clunky portable AC that barely worked and was incredibly loud. The constant noise drowned out the soothing sound of the waves, which was one of the main reasons for choosing a beachfront hotel. Adding to the discomfort, the hot air exhaust from the portable unit was poorly managed, with a large tube casually hanging out of an open window, allowing the hot air to seep back into the room. Our rooms windows faced the alley. We heard the drunks partying into the night and were woken to the trash truck collecting dumpsters early the next morning. Given these issues, this hotel did not live up to its hefty price tag or its beachfront allure. Next time, I will choose a less expensive hotel a few blocks away from the beach and pay for daily parking instead. It’s clear that a cheaper option with better cleanliness and working amenities would provide a much more pleasant stay.

This is our fourth time staying at Sea Sprite and has THE best location right on the beach. We have stayed in many of the different rooms here and all of them are tastefully decorated, immaculate, and clean. Even if you don’t pay a premium for a sea view room it takes you two min to walk outside and be straight on the beach. Anne on reception gave us a wonderful welcome and was very accommodating letting us have our room for a few extra hours as we had a late evening flight home. There are fire pits you can have an evening drink while you watch the sunset and beach volleyball- this is the California we love so much! We will be back again for sure. I highly recommend this hotel.

The place was in front of the beach with comfortable rooms. Just perfect for us.

Amazing my new favorite place to stay!!

We had a great time staying at the Sea Sprite for a friend’s birthday celebration. The hotel was clean and the service was good. The location was amazing, right on the beach. I would definitely recommend staying here for vacation at the beach

Amazing as usual best hotel in Hermosa beach.

Surprisingly spacious, very clean, free parking and an enviable position on the beach. It’s a great place to come and decompress.

Terrible stay , a little bit of everything happened when we stayed at Sea sprite . Unfortunately our stay wasn’t what we planned it to be this time around . We weren’t welcomed the proper way we would normally get treated by the front desk attendant. Sadly enough we arrived there and our room wasn’t ready until 4 basically , we stayed in the first building in one of the studio rooms . The assistant manager wasn’t in a good mood and treated us poorly , she has an attitude , awful customer service , she wasn’t polite at all , and her personality and character as a person didn’t sit right with my husband and I . We been coming here for years to sea sprite , we know the owners and we are great close friends with one of them but indeed , I’m sure he’s unaware of what kind of person they hire to carry on the position . We saw the unprofessional side of the assistant manager because she was also screaming at one of the housekeepers outside in a public space . Degrading a housekeeper or any employee is a NOT OK . I’ll be having a word with Scott myself when I personally get the opportunity to do so , I wrote this late review because one of my friends stayed there recently at the hotel and she has a similar experience to ours so I decided to put my review on here as well to let the Manager of Sea sprite hotel know what goes on when she isn’t around the property . This happened when the hotel had just reopened to . Decided to speak up about the matter because nobody deserves to pay a lot of money for a room and get treated this way . Very disappointed about our stay and about a lot of things . Hope Marina see’s this and addresses the matter with me thank you .
